At the top of a hill, nestled in the trees, most of what you experience all day is sound of birds, watching the light change on the trees and nearby hills. We had a great stay at this amazing location. Also, the town of Weaverville is a wonderful find, with its great vibe and wonderful restaurants. We did not find the need to go into Asheville. We absolutely enjoyed the abundance of outdoor space (we especially spent a lot of time on the deck with the fenced-in yard and the smaller deck in the front of the house closest to the stream). The deck by the kitchen/dining room was a little rough, so we didn’t spend a lot of time there. A previous review described this house as being like a treehouse, and you definitely feel like you’re up amongst the trees and in the middle of nature (we had visits from wild turkeys and other wildlife). The house itself was clean and comfortable and we had more than enough room for the two of us and our dog. The sink in the bathroom was a bit on the small side, but that’s a minor quibble. The proximity to Asheville (a 10-15 minute drive) and Weaverville (5-7 minutes) was a plus. Communicating with Courtney was a piece of cake. We’d definitely stay there again. ##### Eric L. The house was gorgeous, comfortable for a group of 4, with a well-stocked kitchen and numerous beautiful outdoor spaces. Our puppy loved playing in the fenced yard! But it’s minutes from Weaverville’ cute town center and less than 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. The house is open and light filled. Super clean and comfortable.
