Older home but very clean! It had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay. We had a small issue with the heat but the host was reachable, very nice & easy to communicate with & the problem was fixed.
With three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious kitchen and several living areas in addition to a lovely enclosed porch, our family had plenty of room to relax and enjoy the quiet surroundings. The paneling adds a bit of throwback charm. The central a/c system worked very well to keep us cool during hot summer days. Our host, Angie, was very responsive to any questions we had and was always available to help. We were happy with our stay!
This is the third time staying at the King Farmstead. Always clean in a quiet setting, easy access to I-26 and under 10 minutes to downtown Hendersonville. I have communicated with the owner several times and she is wonderful.

A few guys and I were in town working on the storm debris cleanup. We were able to contact Angie, the property owner, and meet with her. We needed to make sure that it met our needs as we would need to rent for two weeks. They showed us the property and it was perfect. With the long rental, they made sure everything was stocked that we needed for the whole time. They found out it was my birthday and dropped off a cookie cake and a balloon. It was just a nice touch since I was away from family working.
Great location. Getaway but also close to everything
We were in Asheville for a wedding. This was just perfect for us. Close to all the good vineyards, orchards and nature.
House is a rustic but super comfortable. Loved the huge backyard or I should say the farm!
This was a cute little farmhouse with tons of space. Very clean, cozy and comfortable. The location was perfect for us to explore Asheville, Black Mountain, Lake Lure and Saluda. It was so comfortable that we couldn't wait to get back after a long day out exploring - especially during this latest heat wave. I highly recommend this house and will definitely return again the next time we travel to the area.
House was nice and roomy! After a long ride, the air conditioner was set just right! With a very active 4 year old having plenty of room to roam was nice! Small extra details were not overlooked! It definitely was a step away from the hustle and bustle! The only thing we were disappointed about was the creek. After looking several times we still have no idea where it was! Over all we had a great time!
Perfect Location for this charming farmhouse. Be in Asheville, Lake Lure, or SC attratctions quickly with scenic routes of the apple orchards, mountains, and lake. The circle drive made it easy to get to/from the house, and the flat back yard was great for playing ball with my teen. The large kitchen and outdoor grill made cooking an easy task. The beds were comfortable and inviting and the bathrooms clean and well stocked. I spent the mornings and evenings on the patio watching the hummingbirds and fireflies enjoying the peaceful mountain air. The owner left us thoughtful local gifts and had plenty of books, games, and TV's that we enjoyed. She even called on day 2 to see if we needed anything for the house and offered recommendations for dining and attractions in the area. Would love to stay again!
The house has a perfect location, close to all the great restaurants in Flat Rock, near I 26, a few minutes from Main Street and the breweries and wineries, and very serene and peaceful. The house is very clean and roomy, a great house for many family members. Angie, the host, is a delight.
This property has the old house charm and the farm feel. There was plenty of room for all of us. There were three bedrooms with doors and three open rooms that had either beds or couches to sleep on. We ranged in ages from 71 to 12. This gave everyone their own space. The house is old so the doors don't always open and close easily and the floor creeks but that is to be expected. The area is very private with woods on three sides and a 55+ rv park behind the trees across the street. Dunkin and the express way are at the top of the street which was very convenient. We had a great time!
