Ashern Holidays from £850

We arrived early and the staff at the front desk were lovely, storing our luggage and offering suggestions on where we might like to visit until our room was ready. The breakfast options were good, coffee hot and good and very clean dining area. Even though the hotel is located on a busy street, the noise level (except for the occasional siren) was not bothersome to us.

Lady at check in was awesome. However the hotel system took like 15 minutes to check in plus having to go back outside and put parking passes on dashboard, then more long time of checking in. Was not impressed

Bed and linens were clean and comfortable. Shower & tub are old but did the job - shower was powerful but only one setting (no water saver option which would save $$ too). Once in a while the water at the sink would come out scalding hot momentarily - be careful when washing hands or face. All the old carpetting should be torn out everywhere and in rooms - they have an odour of stink wet socks (mildew) - so we kept our shoes on. Windows need cleaning and replacing. Rooms need serious upgrades. Could easily hear kids running around outside the room. The place was ok with free self parking with a nice affordable restaurant on-site. The service and hospitality was great! All in all I wrote OK if you want an affordable but old dated place to sleep & shower.

Room was clean and they only charged $50 for security deposit.

For close to $400 a night, you'd expect everything to be perfect...it wasn't. Rooms are very loud and walls very thin. I could hear everything happening in rooms beside me. Worse, the walls are so thin, you can hear another rooms air conditioning turning on and off all night. The staff are helpful but for the type of property they are trying to be, there's a lot of work to be done.
