It is furnished in a sympathetic 1930's style but with large modern bathroom and everything you need in the kitchen. The old stone floor is a bit chilly but the warm slippers helped and the house warms up quickly. The cottage was clean, except for a little cleaning residue in the bath. Luxurious bed linen & the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed (we had to hunt for the chopping board but found it eventually). Would recommend taking slippers as the floor is tile downstairs and gets cold and slightly damp in evenings. The cottage itself is lovely and cosy when warmed up, extra blankets were also provided making it a bit cosier. We visited Thor's Cave which was a stunning walk with views at the top, and there's a little tearoom nearby. That's only a 10 minute drive away from the cottage! If you have the windows open over night you can hear the stream which is quite relaxing, but you do get the sound of people in the morning as it's the central spot for the walking route (it's not to bad, just something to bear in mind if you like windows open).
