We had a lovely relaxing holiday. The owners live next door and are very friendly and helpful. The cottage is absolutely spotless. One of the cleanest we have stayed in. The kitchen is very well equipped.Wifi was good. We found the beds comfortable. The garden was small but very pretty with a fantastic view. The cottage is up a single track lane but we didn’t find this a problem. It was great for walking the dog. We would highly recommend the cottage and would stay again if in the area. We did find the beds a little harder than we were used to but obviously this is just a personal preference. It has lovely features inside; wooden interior, beams; a cosy feel. The bathrooms are very well equipped (lovely shower!) and most of the necessary day-to-day amenities are provided. The dry room is particularly useful to dry washing/rained-on clothing. There are a few improvements that could have been made to make our stay more comfortable. All the beds have very hard mattresses, so a couple of us struggled with that, to the point that we used duvets underneath instead of over the the top as padding. The kitchen could have a bigger frying pan and chopping knives - the ones provided are only small. And even when some radiators were switched to off, heat still came through, so we had to turn the heating off at the boiler directly.
