This holiday apartment is accessed through a private entrance on the ground floor, leading to the first floor where you’ll find a bright, airy kitchen with a dining area. The lounge, furnished with comfortable seating and a TV, provides a relaxing space with views over the market square. A bathroom with a shower over the bath completes this floor. On the second floor, you’ll find two double rooms and a twin room. The top floor features another bathroom with a modern cubicle shower.  
  
Ashbourne itself is a delightful market town, often referred to as the ’Gateway to the Peak District.’ With its cobbled streets, historic buildings, and friendly atmosphere, you’ll find a wealth of independent shops, cafés, and pubs to enjoy. The town is also known for its traditional annual Shrovetide football match, a unique and thrilling event that draws visitors from all over.  
  
Ashbourne is the perfect starting point for exploring the Peak District National Park and Staffordshire Moorlands. The Dovedale Stepping Stones, just a short drive away, offer a picturesque, iconic walk across the River Dove, with views of the surrounding hills. Nearby Ilam is home to the beautiful Ilam Park, with its gardens, woodland, and scenic walks.  
  
There are nearby towns, Matlock, Bakewell, and Buxton, Matlock for the Heights of Abraham, Bakewell for its delicious pudding and picturesque setting by the River Wye, and Buxton, with its stunning Georgian architecture and the Buxton Opera House. Tissington Trail is not to be missed, this traffic-free trail, once part of the railway line, takes you through some of the most stunning countryside in the area, with views over rolling hills, valleys, and villages.  
  
If you’re looking for thrills, Alton Towers theme park is just a short drive away, offering exciting rides and attractions for all ages.
