Mardaga Hotel.
Super hotel and very clean and very well run. Staff excellent. Would recommend staying here if you are visiting the area.

Nice hotel to base out of while traveling
Second stay at this hotel . Staff amazing and warm they go the extra mile to accommodate our early departure or late return . The elevator is very small so for travelers that bring a lot of luggage it's not ideal. Rooms modern and nice. Good beds. Restaurant convenient but not probably worth the money . Food above average . Good location beautiful garden-sitting area. Nice cozy feel to the place. Super staff!

Proper en mooi hotel, alleen jammer dat, als men betaald voor een dubbel bed, je nog steeds twee enkele bedden tegen elkaar aangeschoven krijgt. Ontbijt is zeker ok, maar niet goedkoop. Warme leidingen onder de kamer vloer die verkleuring veroorzaken en plaatselijk heel warm zijn

Awful Experiences
Upon our arrival at the hotel's front desk, we were utterly dismayed by the complete lack of a warm welcome. The room they assigned us was inconveniently located on the first floor, facing a noisy street. Despite our very real concerns about potential traffic noise disrupting our sleep, we were dismissively assured that nighttime traffic was not an issue. Adding to our disappointment, we were told that, due to full occupancy, they couldn't switch us to a quieter room with a different view. While the room itself had enough space, the bed was a total disaster. It was way too soft, offering zero support from the hopelessly inadequate mattress. The so-called "double bed" was basically two single beds pushed together, leaving a terribly uncomfortable gap in the middle. Our biggest complaint, however, was how the hotel seemed to favor its dining guests over those of us who were actually staying there. A noisy party continued well past 11:00 pm, causing us considerable disturbance and showing a complete lack of respect for our need for a peaceful night's sleep. To make matters worse, some of the rowdy partygoers who were also hotel guests continued to make noise late into the night, without any intervention from the hotel staff. What's more, the promise of "low traffic" outside our window was entirely untrue, which only added to our growing frustration. Our frustration reached its peak at check-out when the front desk made a bewildering mistake, claiming we hadn't paid our bill.

Very friendly staff, rooms are in ok shape but clean. We could rent nice new bicycles and got some good tips for locations to visit. The breakfast was delicious. Also hotel restaurant is highly recommended.

Redelijk hotel
Hotel was redelijk. Bij inchecken was de kamer die ik had geboekt niet meer beschikbaar dus kreeg een andere kamer. Mijn inziens was dit een downgrade dus had wel wat compensatie verwacht of in ieder geval wat coulance. Dat zat er niet in. De kamer die ik had beschikte niet over een bad zoals bij de boeking was aangegeven. De bedden waren kwalitatief niet super. De kamer was wel ruim. Kamer en sanitair waren schoon. Het leek erop dat er op de gang gerookt werd. Dat vond ik niet fris. Bij uitchecken nogmaals gevraagd over mijn kamer, maar omdat ik via de website had geboekt was er niets mogelijk.

Hallo Arnout, Hartelijk dank voor jou recensie. Je hebt hier inderdaad op 12/10 overnacht in kamer 18. Dit is onze standaard luxe kamer.Buiten deze type kamers hebben enkel nog 4 junior suites beschikbaar. Het was dus 100% zeker geen downgrade, maar wel degelijk de kamer die je had gereserveerd aan 95 euro.Dus ik begrijp niet zo goed jou reactie van enige coulance.Hotel was 100% volgeboekt en kon je geen andere kamer aanbieden.Je hebt pas om 14.15 uur de kamer op de dag zelf gereserveerd en dit was dus de allerlaatste beschikbare kamer. Mardaga is een 100% rookvrij hotel en overal hangen rookmelders, dus van roken op de gang kan er geen sprake zijn. Heb jou reservatie nog een goed bekeken maar op mijn document dat ik via Expedia-Hotels.com staat nergens een melding van bad. Een ligbad is enkel beschikbaar in de junior suites en deze waren reeds allemaal verhuurd. Bij een volgend verblijf in Mardaga zal ik jou als compensatie gratis een junior suite met bad aanbieden. Heerlijk om het na 44jaar weer zo goed te ervaren
En lekker dat je er kan eten! Trouwens , een hotel met een bemande bar, is zo gezellig om er een tijdje te zijn en bij te praten. De wijn is ook niet te versmaden. Tijdens het diner, aan een tafel bij het raam, scheen de volle maan door de bomen en het oude stationnetje aan de overkant was verlicht: Heel romantisch! De kamer aan de achterkant van het hotel was heel rustig. Ze hebben er ook uitstekende bedden.

Cosy hotel in a nice area
We stayed here for a simple night and were happy to see a nice and clean room as well as a nice area with a large wood/tree landscape behind the hotel. The free parking was a nice addition, but the expensive breakfast (25€) was hard to defend. All in all a great experience. I can recommend the hotel both for the short winter stay, but can also imagine this being a great place to stay during the summer vacation!

This hotel was completely satisfactory as convenient stop-over. Nice rustic feel to the place. Excellent food served in the restaurant. Beautiful garden area which backs onto woodland park. only minus is higher than average price for breakfast.

Globaal is de indruk te duur voor wat het is (geen mini-bar op de kamer), prijzen van het eten zijn zeker te duur (kleine hoeveelheid), met grote honger is het niet aan te raden), doch wel lekker. Mooie, ruime kamers.

Elegantes Ambiente
Liegt nach hinten abgeschirmt, wie in einem Park, und so ist auch der Eindruck, wenn man ankommt und den sehr schönen überdachten Gartenteil des Restaurants betritt. Sehr freundlicher, diskret agierender Service, wirkt beim Empfang beinahe familiär persönlich, wenn man noch bis ins Zimmer begleitet worden wäre. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und professionell mit Stil eingerichtet. Im Bad war auch alles vorhanden und sehr geräumig. Das Restaurant kannten wir schon von Festen her und wissen, dass es Spitze ist, was die Preise gerechtfertigt. Im Mardaga für diesen Preis übernachten zu können, war für uns ein Glücksfall.
