We stayed in the "Family Suite". It had more than enough space for a family of 4. It was very quiet as it was in the back away from the main road, and underneath. The kids had a lot of fun playing in the shared patio area.

It was like sleeping in a forest cabin. The outside was a bit deceiving but once we met the hosts and saw our room, we were pleasantly surprised. The exterior is in need of a little fresh paint but very comfortable with a family friendly stove heater with soft fire (very warm and adjustable). The bedding was so soft, lofty, and fresh. Just a few miles from Big Trees State Park and downtown Murphy’s (both a must see).

We recently stayed at Timberline Lodge and was during the same snowstorm when the power was out throughout Arnold. We had lost our car to a tree and made to the Lodge. The manager and her husband were wonderful and very caring. They saw our Expedia reservation come in even with the power out and helped us get setup quickly. We were so grateful to have a cozy warm room with the gas fireplace stove. There was hot water and the room was perfect. When we had delays leaving the next day because of the snow and no car, they let us take the time we needed to figure things out. The manager's husband saved us in the end and gave us a ride to Murphy's so we could be somewhere with electricity (and food). He was so kind to do that and we won't forget. Thank you for having such a lovely place and it was beautiful in the snow too! Robert & Marianne

Bring Ice

yes it was a nice room the receptionist was nice. I was disappointed there was no ice machine. The motel is right on the hiway #4 and is close to Big Trees national Park. There are only a few restaurants but there are few within walking and a few not much more than a mile away. We had no trouble sleeping, good beds but when I awoke early 5amish I could get back to sleep,street noise overwhelming.
