First of all, let me start by saying that it was not the receptionist's fault. She was a nice older lady, who was trying her hardest to keep on top of things. Rather, it is the way Rodeway Inn is managed- especially in keeping records of your guests. When we first arrived, I was given the key to a room that has already been occupied. I walked into a pile of clothes on an unmade bed, some food on the table, a scattered floor while the TV was still on. Realizing I had almost accidentally walked into someone's privacy, I quickly turned around and closed the door behind. The second time, the receptionist gave me the key to a room that was not what I had paid for. While we finally settled down the third time around, the bathroom was a mess. Things were peeling off inside the bathtub, on the wall, and the lamps in the room look like someone had used it in a fight. Also, the bathroom light is so dim that it looks like some kind of horror house since there's hardly any light in there. I realize that this is, after all, just a 2 star motel in a small rural town, and we had only stayed there one night, yet it could still use some upgrading. Other than that, it is quite convenient since it is just right off Highway 84. The area looks quite safe. Like I said, I do not blame the receptionist since she had provided A customer service overall... However, Rodeway Inn used to be quite above average elsewhere. Whatever happened to you here?

not fancy but okay for a night stay
This is an older motel that hasn't been updated but it provided for everything necessary. Not really a breakfast but a packaged muffin or something was available. The beds were comfortable and it was clean.

Rodeway Inn front desk staff was very kind. I thought the AC vent could use a repair. Needs some spot cleaning with a Mr. Clean magic eraser. And I found two live baby spiders and one dead one in my bathtub. That is the reason for the cleanliness rating.

I arrived and while waiting to check in there was another tenant that was having a hard time and bad expereince with the office. I ignored that for my experience as every situation is different the first day was fine the room was clean we had towels nothing to complain about. My three year old toddler daughter had a accident that evening while sleeping that I woke up to the next morning. I cleaned up the mess and piled all the blankets and sheets to be courteous to the cleaning lady. I then went to the office about 8am and let them know my daughter had an accident and I will need room service and that I already piles up the soiled bedding to be helpful. He said ok thank you and that room service will be there shortly. I left for the rodeo. I went back at 9pm and room service never came. I went to the office and let them know and they said that because I wasn’t present in my room at the time of service I couldn’t have service so I asked for new bedding he gave me sheets only when I asked for blankets he said no he followed me to my room and took my soiled bedding from me. Luckily I brought a few of my own blankets as well so I made due with just fresh sheets. Sunday went by I left my room about 930am for the rodeo and came back around 9pm. The office called me to come down. They told me that I have to pay for the “damaged” bedding and tried to tell me I put mud all over their bedding which is not true. There’s much more to say…..

What a dump! The floor squeaked at every step, pillow case and sheet soiled, the furniture worn out, bathroom towel racks broken/missing. The “included breakfast from 6-9am” was cleared at 7:45. Staff nowhere to be found.

Felt unsafe and very unclean.
The room was pretty dirty. The walls were stained and the floors had stains as well. There were flies all over the place in the room and bathroom. Room was open to the road which seemed a little uneasy/unsafe and the deadbolt was removed and only had a chain on it.

Love this little town, wish the people running this inn had a little more pride in ownership. Don’t expect much and don’t let the guy at the counter bully you into a room or a price any different than your reservation - because he will definitely try.

It was okay.
This is a cheap motel. Lobby was dirty and did not smell good. We declined to eat breakfast as the smell of the lobby would not have been pleasant and breakfast was located inside the lobby. The room was clean. Musty smelling. We had brought a candle which was very helpful. Front office staff very friendly. No noise. If you’re staying only one night you would be fine. If more than one night I would keep driving to a town with more options. Everything closes early and not many food options

The stay was decent for its location and lack of. Their tap water was undrinkable and the fact that the near by stores were limited on supplies I think they should provide filtered water coolers in every room.

Fairly quiet, easy parking and access to the room. The bed was comfortable enough. There were cleanliness issues. The room looked like it had not been used in a long time. There were a lot of dead bugs in the sliding windows, the windows were not locked, the bedcovering was stained, one of the chairs was broken, cobwebs in the corners, the air conditioner was very dirty, the table and nightstand had not been cleaned after the last use. There is a picture below of the washcloth I used to wash the table and nightstand. The inside of the microwave was badly burnt.

Cheap, clean and comfy if a bit shabby.
Not in great shape but nice and clean. Full-size fridge, microwave, flatscreen TV, free WiFi, shampoo and coffeemaker in my room; much more than I expected for the VERY cheap price! The owners/managers were super nice: opened the door and let me in the lobby after my midnight arrival so I didn’t have to stand in the cold. I didn’t even have to ask. Bed was comfy with nice bedding.

Because of covid I make sure to wipe everything down with Lysol when I arrive. The white wipes I use were very dirty after simply wiping down the bathroom counter. This tells me they didn’t clean it at all. Same with the desk and nightstand. I found someone’s sock and my shoes stuck to the carpet in some places. Outside there were hundreds of cigarette butts like they never pick them up and there was furniture and other trash right next to the pergola. The parking by the room was all taken because they allowed people to park their trailers and buggies in regular parking so I had to park in the back

Two of the 4 electrical outlets were so worn out, no plug would stay in, the tub/shower drain was extremely slow to drain. No breakfast offered for 2 years, the management team was required to do laundry, as they had to turn on the breaker for the washer then turn it on themselves.
