"The Flute Player is a perfect cabin for our sisters trip to hike in Wichita Mountains NWR. It is so close to the refuge and there are many good places to eat nearby. The cabin is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the AC works great after being in the heat all day. The host is friendly and makes sure your needs are met. While we didn't use it this visit the swim area, Bath Lake, looks inviting. The cabin is quiet and had everything we needed. I'll definitely come visit again and stay here or in another of this host's cabins in Medicine Park."
Buffalo Wallow Cabin at The Lazy Buffalo Hunting Pet Friendly Wichita Mountains

"We had to change our plans last minute and found the Lazy Buffalo by sheer luck. Turning into the driveway, we could tell that thought would be put into every little detail. The pet friendly cabins are toward the back and the atmosphere was super quiet and relaxing. Our favorite thing was the stargazing deck. What an awesome touch! Once inside the cabin, it was clean and efficient. It even had pet bowls for our Pupper! The snacks and cold water were great, but the book of information was the best part, especially when a loud boom rattled the place and we had already read that this is normal for the area. The beds were super comfortable and the close proximity to the Wildlife preserve makes this a place we will come back to!"

"This property is a gem located in the little cobblestone town of Medicine Park, which we have visited many times over the years. Ironically, the town is originally known for being a resort/health spa destination, so the overall atmosphere of the home definitely brought that vibe with the most thoughtful touches in a modern way. If you’re looking for rest & relaxation, I highly recommend this property!"
"The house was adequate and what we expected in some ways. When making this reservation I asked if they could do anything special for our anniversary there was never a response given. We assumed they probably did not have that ability. However two things that concern us, One was the fireplace. My wife wanted a vacation where we had a fireplace. When arrival we find out the fireplace was not in working order. To be honest if we knew this up front we would have never Stayed here because it was not what we wanted. Second we could not get the furnace to go over 68 degrees. This is probably fine for most Americans.But my wife and myself prefer our home warmer. We improvised by turning the oven on until the cottage was at a temperature, we were okay with, then shut it off for the night as not to cause any danger to the property. Lastly, the price was a little higher than we expected.Even though it had cleaning fees we had to do most of the cleaning. We would stay in this area again but probably not at this location."
