The property looked nothing like the pictures, and mosquitoes were a major issue throughout our stay. Right away, we encountered problems with the hot water in our room. After multiple calls to the front desk and waiting for maintenance, it took hours to fix, and even then, we only had lukewarm water. The entrance was dirty, the towels were old, and there were no amenities provided. The bed was okay, but that’s about the only positive thing I can say. The staff are friendly but at a loss to how to realte to their clientele. The breakfast is barely adequate and even the Sri Lankan breakfast is poor. Also it doesn't have a nice look from the front. But After entering, I realized that they have a really nice and friendly staff (specially the reception). Dinner and breakfast buffet were great with real Sri Lankan taste. Don't expect a huge buffet, but all curries were very tasty. It's worth the money you pay and they really deserve a better review score. One thing to improve is, the bed was very firm. Waste bin had no liner so contents fell onto the floor. No bolt or chain on the inside of the door. Surprised to find this hotel only two years old, bathroom wall crumbling from water leakage. No window so very dark, smells of camphor. Lots of mosquitoes. No grass left in the grounds.
