Bridge Street Inn

"When we arrived we thought "what have we gotten ourselves into". The outside is reminiscent of a 40s roadside motel, typical "L" shaped with parking in front of the rooms. There were about 5 cars in the parking lot. The office was locked with a sign on the door, advising to look in the adjacent mail drop for our keys. This didn't look good, but the internet said it got 4+ stars. We found the entrance to our room: an outside door leading down a short hallway to access three rooms. We found our room at the end and went inside, still wondering what we had gotten ourselves into. It was a small room, but spacious with the king bed. It was so clean you could have eaten off the floor! Microwave and coffee maker on a small table between the tiny closet and equally small bathroom (the door barely cleared the toilet). Okay, we're here, so let's make the most of it. We went out for a bite to eat. When we returned the parking lot was full of mixed vehicles and the No Vacancy sign was on. Bottom line, this downtown motel was a gem. I've stayed at other chain hotels in Baker City but this one was far and above the others. Don't judge motel by its outside. Sometimes the inside is where the charm is,"

"We were only staying overnight while passing through town, so apart from a bed and bathroom we didn't really need much. The room was clean, the staff was helpful, and breakfast fit our needs. My only criticism is that it seemed a bit high in price, though that could have been due to the lack of vacancy of hotels in the area. That aside, we would stay there again."

"We had such a wonderful time at Good Bear ranch. The views, hiking, and nearby attractions (Interpretive Center, Sumpter & Golf Course) were a lot of fun. We had plenty of towels, and the gorgeous kitchen had literally everything we needed- the oversized oven and bbq were wonderful for cooking meals for our large group. We spent a great deal of time on the covered deck, playing games, reading and relaxing. I would highly recommend Good Bear Ranch to anyone. Thank you for a wonderful week of family, friends and memories."
