Accommodating up to eight guests in four bedrooms, this three-storey home has been refurbished to a very high standard offering contemporary and stylish surroundings in a tranquil setting. With sea views from the upper levels and comfort at the forefront of its design, Seaclusion is ideal for family groups and friends looking for a special getaway on the coast. The open plan layout of the ground floor creates a relaxing social space which flows out into the secluded courtyard at the back of the house, direct from the kitchen. The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped for your self-catering stay. There's a large wine fridge to chill drinks before heading to the outdoor seating or simply relaxing on the comfortable chaise sofas beside the log burner. Gather around the large dining table, whether you're tucking into some fish suppers or sampling some of the vast arrays of local produce available at the many artisan shops or local farmers' markets. On the first floor, you will find a stylish family bathroom with a powerful shower over the bath. There are also two bedrooms on this level. The master bedroom and a twin bedroom; the twin room can be arranged as a comfortable king-size bed on request. On the second level, you will find two further double bedrooms - one with a double and the other with a king-size bed. House was very well presented, well equipped and lovely and warm. The weekend we were there was during Storm Eowyn and we had a power cut on the Friday so was very grateful for the wood burner and the bag of logs provided. The only issue we had was we couldn’t find out how to turn the outside garden lights on but I guess not so important in mid January during a storm. The house was in a great location for touring East Neuk. The house was spotless. Cleaning team are doing a great job. We had everything we needed. Plenty fresh towels. Very comfy beds and lovely bed linen. Lots of lovely finishing touches. It was a home from home. Loved the copper bath. Enjoyed our morning walks along the coast. A couple of maintenance issues that the owners are aware of that need sorted - guttering at the rear of the property and windows. When we raised our concerns we received a prompt response. From a partner site ### 8/10 Good #### Lesley Anne D. 18 Oct 2023 #### Beautiful house - but it needs some maintenance unfortunately We love St Monans, having visited the area for many years. The house was beautiful with a lot of attention to detail in the furnishings, fittings etc and it was in a great location. We experienced issues however which highlight the need for some routine maintenance in the house. From minor details such as the extractor fan above the cooker missing a knob which meant it couldn't be switched on, to a number of light bulbs in one bathroom not working to more major issues such as the double bed in one of the bedrooms coming apart rendering it unusable. A more major issue is the maintenance of the roof of the house however. After a night of heavy rain, one of our family members was awoken by water dripping from the ceiling above the bed, onto his head. There were 3 areas in that particular bedroom where there was obviously leakage from the roof and the guttering at the back of the house was choked with vegetation which meant water was running down the back outside wall and noisily dripping onto the ground. The agent was contacted and the handyman came to fix the broken bed, check all the bulbs that needed replaced and assess the water damage, which he said was due to work needing done on the roof. He also made a suggestion of a work-around for the missing extractor knob which wasn't a solution to the issue so we had to cook with the back door open. The roof clearly needs some serious attention and I would suggest there needs to be closer ongoing scrutiny of maintenance inside the property by the housekeeping staff. It spoiled what would have been an otherwise enjoyable stay. ##### Lesley Anne D. There were only 4 glass wine glasses one of which was broken. Please note we had a fantastic stay and particularly loved the copper bath .
