We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were super responsive, and the cabin was cozy as could be. It, plus the closeness to the New River Gorge National Park (albeit by car), made for a great trip.
What you see is what you get. Just a comfortable, relaxing place to stay that's close to Fayetteville and several parks. We slept very well and the hot tub felt great after a long day of hiking.
We will definitely be back to stay!! The hot tub is what made our stay the best. I would recommend a better idea for a bigger hot water tank in the cabin & better pillows.
Very cozy little cabin right on Rt 60 Nice hot tub nice location. Everything’s great. Tiny hot water tank and it got a little cold at night but had plenty of blankets and all was wonderful Def coming back
My wife and 5 year old son stayed for a long weekend and this was the perfect space! We had enough room inside to be comfortable when we were inside, but we spent most of our time in the hot tub and down by the fire pit. Hiking, biking, and restaurants are all within 20 minutes, making this a perfect location for us to enjoy and return in the future!
Nice hot tub. Good location for rafting near the gorge.
Some stains on the towels and sheets; would have liked to sleep on white and bleached sheets, they just "felt" a little dirty.
Checkin was so easy!
Very clean and cozy. The outside temps were never warmer than 25 F but the inside was always warm and comfy. We could stream on the wifi, and we also had cell service. The owner was responsive to any questions. GPS took us right where we needed to be, and it was dark.
My wife and I were looking for place to spend a week away from home and work, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Clean and well maintained, on a beautiful piece of land midway between Fayetteville and Summersville, we had easy access to the falls in the area, Summersville lake, and state parks and hiking trails. The cabin was perfectly sized, with more room than the pictures lead you to believe. After days at the lake or hiking, coming back to the cabin to relax in the private hot tub in the cool evening air was incredible. Highly recommended.
We were there for a Gauley Season rafting trip and enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect (under 6 miles to Adventures On The Gorge). Like most of the other reviews, the shower head is very low but manageable. There were a couple of small issues that were resolved quickly and efficiently. Hot tub was wonderful and appreciated after being on the river all day. The bed was super comfy and we would definitely stay here on our next adventure!
The property is amazing! I got to see Turkeys and deer every evening I stayed on the property. It is 1/4 mile from hawks next state park. A quick 15 minute ride to new river gorge national park. It’s not a far drive to the next city if you need to grab anything. Mackenzie is great at messaging you back if you need anything!
I’ll start by listing the pros:Property manager was extremely kind and responsive. Allowed us to change our overnight date hassle free the week of the trip due to weather. Responses were very quick which was also appreciated. The hot tub was very clean, as was the tiny home. The property was in a safe area with no safety concerns, which was nice since it was just myself and my daughter on a girls’ overnight. The cons: The tiny home sits next to the main road which is not advertised and the sound of the traffic kept us awake the majority of the night (to be fair, we live in the woods and aren’t used to that— this may not bother some but we thought this was in a more wooded area). The shower is built for a tiny person or child. My daughter and I are both 5’7 and the shower head only came to right below our shoulders. The home also only holds about 5 minutes worth of hot water, which we did not know until after checkin. (We both have long hair— that coupled with the build of the shower made it literally impossible to wash our hair.)
A great little cabin with everything you need, centrally located, clean, and well appointed! Just make sure you copy and paste the address and don't follow the 'get directions' pin from Expedia/VRBO. :)
The hot tub was amazing, loved that it was in an enclosed room, more private. The cabin was very clean, and the temperature inside was easy to control for comfort. Would stay again.
