The view of the lake from the family room, kitchen and the terrace is fantastic. Our philosophy is to recycle materials and furniture to get a practical interior. Swedish nature is right outside (and sometimes inside) the door of wild animals, large and small. The landscaped garden is small, most of it is natural. This is the place where you find peace and quiet. In the cottage there is a fireplace which gives a cozy feeling. Of course, there is dry wood to pick up in the woodshed. The kitchen has everything that may be needed for a comfortable holiday. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and washing machine. The property has individual water and drains. There is an automatic water pump in the house and the hot water is heated by a hot water heater. The hot water suffices for a shower of about 20 minutes then it needs about 30 minutes to heat new water. Wireless internet (wifi) is included in the rent. The main bedroom is in the main cottage, further bedrooms are in the guest cottage and in the attic. To reach the guest cottage and attic, you need to exit the main cottage. Fishing licenses can be purchased online or at Bolmen's campsite, about 5 km from the cottage. There is also the possibility to rent a canoe. A rowing boat is included in the rent. A second boat is available to rent separately. Life jackets are available in several sizes and are included in the rent. Within 5 minutes walk you reach the Bolmenmarschen hiking trail. But it is just as good to just go straight into the forest and look around. Ljungby is the nearest town, about 20 km from the cottage, where there is the service needed such as. grocery stores, restaurants, tourist information, hospitals and veterinarians. In the vicinity of Ljungby there are several different excursion destinations, flea markets and more. The immediate area is sparsely populated. In direct proximity to the cottage are three cottages. The closest full-year residents is about 300 m from the cottage. It is private road to the house. There is the possibility to park two cars on the lot. Bolmen has clean water that is well suited for swimming and fishing. The bay where we usually swim is shallow with sandy bottom. Super Sicht auf den See. Das Haus ist einfach aber vollständig ausgestattet. Das Ruderboot erfüllt seinen Zweck, ist aber fürs Angeln im riesigen See nur bedingt tauglich. Wir hatten ziemlich Pech mit dem Wetter. Viel Regen und in der 2\. Woche auch sehr kalt (1\. und 2\. Augustwoche 2023). Trotzdem würden wir wiederkommen. Die Aussicht auf den Bolmen ist echt schön und das Haus ist super ausgestattet. Von "A" wie alles was man braucht bis "Z" wie Zahnstocher ist in Jennys Haus alles vorhanden. Die Möbel sind nicht unbedingt auf dem neuesten Stand, aber alles ist sauber und gepflegt. Auch die Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung, wie Elchsafarie, Besuch von mehreren Land-/Bauernhöfen, Burgbesichtigung und kleine Ausflüge in Mutter Natur mit unseren 3 Hunden (2 Familien) können wir wärmstens empfehlen. Das Anglerglück war nicht unbedingt auf unsrer Seite - einige Barsche und große Brassen und kleine Hechte, die wir aber wieder zurück gesetzt haben. Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner entspannter Urlaub. Übrigens sind Jenny und Stefan eine Seele von Mensch und wenn es irgendetwas gibt, was nicht funktioniert, sind beide mit Rat und Tat per Mail behilflich (bei uns wollte der Rasen-Robbi nicht so wie er sollte 😅) An dieser Stelle nochmals lieben Dank für alles. ##### Elke M. Einige Tage waren noch Freunde dabei. Wer Ruhe und Natur sucht, so wie wir, ist perfekt in diesem Haus. Es stehen zwei Räder. ein Kanu und ein Boot zur Verfügung Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Um dennoch einige Dinge einzuschätzen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind nur mit Auto ( 25 min Autofahrt ) zu erreichen Möglichkeiten zum Essen gehen sind begrenzt, zumal wir mit September außerhalb der Saison waren Das Haus hat alles, was man benötigt- dennoch ist es ein älterer Standard aber wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt Wir kommen wieder / vielen Dank Sabine ##### Sabine H. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, der Blick auf den Bolmen aus dem Haus und von der Terrasse aus ist fantastisch. Jenny ist sehr sympathisch und nett. Der Bolmen ist ein Paradies für Angler und Kanu fahren bietet sich wegen der vielen Inseln auch an. Die nähere Umgebung bietet aber leider nicht viele Wandermöglichkeiten. Da lohnt ein Ausflug nach Växjö oder auch zum Storre Mosse Nationalpark bei Värnamo. Wir hatten das Glück abends vom Kahn aus einen Elch von einer Insel zur anderen schwimmen und im flachen Wasser laufen zu sehen und zu filmen - unvergesslich! Dem Haupthaus und dem Nebengebäuden. Unsere Mädchen fanden es wunderbar, ihr eigenes kleines Reich für sich zu haben. Das Haus war sehr gemütlich und an den vereinzelten Regentagen hat das Feuer im offenen Kamin gemütliche Atmosphäre gezaubert. Im Garten und auf der Veranda gibt es viele Sitzgelegenheiten, die auch bei Wind Schutz bieten. Wir haben sehr viel Zeit im Freien verbracht und täglich den wunderbaren Blick auf den See genossen. Die Kinder waren täglich mehrmals im Wasser und fanden es toll. Für uns ist es ein großartiger Ort für unseren Urlaub gewesen. Wer Luxus sucht ist hier falsch: das Haus ist einfach, aber sehr praktikabel. Alles ist vorhanden, vom Föhn, über den Toaster bis zum Backblech und der Waschmaschine. Und es ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Für uns war es perfekt. Das Ruderboot hat uns fast täglich gute Dienste geleistet. Oft waren wir von 22:00-23:30 auf dem Wasser und haben die Abendstimmung auf dem spiegelglatten See bewundert. Wer Angst vor Einsamkeit hat, sollte hier nicht hingehen, wer die Ruhe in der Natur sucht ist genau richtig. Wir werden wiederkommen! ##### David A. Der Weg ab Hauptstraße ist zum Teil unbefestigt, aber auch mit Pkw gut befahrbar. Das Haus selbst liegt auf einem Hügel mit Blick auf den Bolmensee und versch. Inseln. Das Anwesen außen zeigt Ansätze von fast liebevollen Stilelementen, wie kleine Blumenkübel, schaltbare Außenleuchten, viele verteilte Sitzmöglichkeiten. Es gibt einen befestigten Pkw-Abstellplatz im Freien. Im anliegenden Schuppen und im Haus (Regal) stellt die Gastgeberin Kaminholz zur Verfügung. Ein Ruderboot lädt zur Abwechslung ein. Fischen ist erlaubt. Der Kamin im Haus ist sehr effizient, leicht zu handhaben und etwas für Romantiker. Angenehm aufgefallen sind die überall in den Räumlichkeiten verteilten Lampen, die für besondere Gemütlichkeit sorgen. Soweit zu den durchweg positiven Dingen. Spaziergänge in der Natur sind leider nur eingeschränkt möglich (15 - 20 min), es sei denn man läuft die Zufahrstraße entlang. Leider müssen wir der Fairness halber gegenüber anderen Gastgebern und künftigen Gästen, so schwer es uns fällt, auch Punkte nennen, die nicht akzeptabel waren, ja uns zum Teil befremdet haben, wie: - Sitzmöbel schmuddelig und zum Teil mit (Schweiß-?) Flecken - Couchlehne mit Holzabfall notdürftig repariert - Fußboden im gesamten Haus sandig - die Eingangsläufer (innen und außen) verdreckt - Fenster nicht geputzt - Einrichtung zum Teil mit Sperrmüll ausgestattet (kein Shabby Chic!) - Kinderbett (von uns nicht benötigt) voller Flecken - Fensterablagen innen schmutzig - Heizung im Schlafzimmer, unterer Teil, voller Spinnweben - Hausgeruch muffig, evtl. durch die Hunde vorheriger Gäste - die Fernbedienungen des antiquierten Röhrenfernsehers und Peripherie total verklebt; Fernseher selbst unzumutbar mit Bildflimmern wie in den 50ern - insgesamt gibt die Einrichtung inkl. Küche ein stark unharmonisches Bild, von Möbelabfall bis hin zu netten Stilelementen - das Schlimmste im Haus ist jedoch das Bad, das diesen Namen nicht ansatzweise verdient hat - weder Dusche, noch WC waren sauber, Waschbecken o.k., Boden verschmiert und die Dusche von der Handhabung eine Zumutung Die durchweg positiven Bewertungen im Internet können wir in keinster Weise nachvollziehen! Das Haus selbst lässt nichts missen. Die Gegend beinhaltet nicht all zu viele Aktivitäten. Für Fischer und paddler auf dem See aber genau richtig. Auch die Ausstattung ist prima. Klimaanlage, Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine, WLAN, Boot usw. hier ist alles vorhanden um einen entspannten Urlaub zu verbringen. Auf dem riesigen Grundstück gibt es viele gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten. Auch der Kontakt zu Jenny war vollkommen unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Das Haus ist wirklich sehr gut und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gepflegt. Die aussicht auf den see ist großartig. Die Küche ist umfassend ausgestattet und enthält alles für Leute, die sich im Urlaub selbst bekochen möchten. Die Umgebung ist toll zum paddeln und für alle, die Ruhe und Entspannung suchen.
