Bear Creek Vineyard was perfect for a short stay in the Digby - Annapolis Royal area. We were greeted by our host Daren as though we were old friends and received a personal tour of this unique, charming winery. Our tasting experience on the terrace overlooking the beautiful vineyard and valley was heavenly. Our guest room was very clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. I would recommend this as a great couple’s getaway. So lovely to sit out witnessing the sunset and hearing silence intermingled with bird calls. The room was spacious, well appointed and beautiful oak details. The bathroom was delightfully spacious! The old barn/winerey set up was tastefully designed. The aspect from the suite and the winery terrace over the valley to the slope beyond looks all the world like Burgundy. The suite is in the winery building, a converted 19th century dairy barn, and has lots of antique charm and beautifully aged wood. It was comfortably well equipped with a very comfortable bed and the hootingbofborls at night. Hosts Darren and Su were very hospitable without being at all intrusive, giving an informative tour of the winery and vineyard followed by a tasting of their delicious wines.
