"The Inn was very charming and cozy. We don't drive at night anymore and enjoyed sitting by the fire, which Kevin kept going without making it too much, and doing my crocheting. Also watched some television (it was the baseball playoffs after all!). Took some drives during the day to see the fall foliage which was a new experience for us since we're from southeast Texas."

"Cathy and I cannot say enough great things about this Bed & Breakfast. On our 7 day trip through MA, VT, NH, this place was by far our favorite ❤️! The house is very convenient to town and easy to park and just leave your car for the rest of your stay. We walked to everything. Our only regret was we didn't stay longer! Beautiful room, amazing bathroom, great tile work! We used the living room with fireplace (very toasty) and the breakfast with blueberry pancakes was amazing! We can’t wait to go back! "Spent almost a week here visiting family and taking in the gorgeous fall leaves. Loved the house! It's older but renovated to be comfortable but still kept the character and details of older homes including built-ins. Very kid and family friendly, we're an extended family with 3 family units including 3 kids under 7. Rooms are spread out so we all had our own space. The kitchen was large with lots of room for multiple people to prep with lots of pots/pans/dishes/etc. 3 dining areas. Fabulous laundry room! Huge yard with several seating areas plus a basketball hoop and ball included. Beds all comfortable. Was a great location for our trips to Weirs Beach, Meredith, Loon Mtn, Franconia, Mt Washington, North Conway, and York Beach, Maine. Highly recommend."

"The Ballard House Inn is a 7 bedroom bed and breakfast inn in Meredith that my husband and I stayed at over this past weekend. We truly enjoyed our stay there, would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. The inn itself is absolutely charming, very well kept, clean and tastefully furnished and decorated. There is a fairly large dining room where complementary breakfast is served as well as two additional rooms to relax in. Throughout the inn snacks are left for the guests as well as complementary water, soda, coffee, beer and wine. The bedroom we had was good sized, the bed was very comfortable and the fireplace was a really nice touch. Bedrooms are on the second and third floors. The bathroom was also a good size and had everything we needed. The owner was wonderful, ensuring that we had everything we needed. They go above and beyond for their guests. It was such a positive experience and far superior to a hotel room. The location was convenient and easy to find. 5 stars isn’t enough to convey how highly we recommend the Ballard House Inn! Mary and Jack"

"If you're looking for the ideal location for a large group to getaway and relax, have a reunion, or in our case celebrate my wife's 60th birthday surrounded by all of our family and friends, this is the place for you. The house was immaculate, and there is ample room for everyone even when in our case we used almost every bed. During the day we had a handful of family join us that were not staying over and even with 25 people you never feel crowded, the house effortlessly provided the perfect setting without feeling over full. The view is exceptional, and the lake provides endless opportunities for fun and adventure. We brought up a bunch of our own kayaks and paddle boards and managed to get all 12 of us the first morning out on a short paddle around the area. What a great start to the day. The location is perfect for a group walk into town for lunch or some shopping. I would definitely recommend Hermit Woods Winery & Eatery 10 minutes away on foot - great food & drink options. The camp fire provided use the perfect setting to unwind and share stories over some wine at the end of each night. They even provided toys for any little ones in the group. Check-in & check-out was a breeze. Renee was a great host and quickly responded to any questions I had. Highly recommended! Thank you Renee, your home is lovely!"

"We had a lovely weekend in Meredith at this adorable house! Tucked into a tiny wooded drive and only a short ride from the center of Meredith, this gorgeous, clean, stylish house was the perfect combination of modern amenities (all Viking appliances!) and a woodsy lake home. The kitchen was incredible. Really loved the 3 season porch expansion and the bright sunroom. The property was great and we just had to try out the hammock. So relaxing! If you are looking to stay in the Lake Winnipesaukee area or are staying for a concert in Gilford’s Bank of NH pavilion (like us), don’t hesitate to book this place!"
