Step out onto the back deck to take in the gorgeous views surrounded by trees all around and the crisp mountain air and set up the fire pit in the winter to sit around for smores with the family. Not only does Monte Verde lake offer incredible sight seeing, but also activities like paddle boarding, canoeing, and fishing. Travel just a few more minutes down the road to get to Angel Fire resort for golfing, skiing in winter, mountain biking in the summer, pickle ball courts and a great park. \*We do recommend having 4-wheel drive in the winter or snow tires/chains as even though our driveway is plowed that will make the roads more manageable in the snow. This home is a split level three story home with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The top floor has a Master bedroom with a queen bed and full bath and another bedroom with a queen bed. The main floor contains the living room and kitchen with a wood burning fire place. The bottom floor has another bedroom with a queen bed and full bath, laundry room, and the game room with a sleeper sofa. There was plenty of room inside and the third bathroom was a plus. The cabin was very well stocked with all the essentials plus. I didn’t realize there were stairs either up or down to all the bedrooms and bathrooms. It may have been listed and my mistake if not then I would explain that in the description. We had a person with a bad back and the stairs made it difficult. We had our dogs with us and I was very grateful that the deck was fenced and gated so my little one didn’t have to be on a leash the whole time. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars across the board is because of the cobwebs throughout the house. My wife had to go around and knock down these webs that had both dead and living spiders. The cozy fireplace (lots of firewood was provided, thank you!) and cute retro bluetooth stereo were a great addition to the cold October nights. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils & supplies, which made it easy to prepare our meals. We also enjoyed taking a stroll around nearby Monte Verde Lake where we saw a mule deer doe and fawn. The cabin was really too big for us, but it would be great for a family, with plenty of spaces for everyone to hangout. The 3 bedrooms are quite roomy and having 3 full bathrooms is a bonus. It is a nice cabin with all the amenities you will need while on vacation. Kristina, the property manager, was easy to communicate with and very prompt in responding. Side note: We discovered a cool local brewery in Eagle Nest (Comanche Creek Brewery) that has an outdoor area (dog friendly) and it has a spectacular view! ##### Mandy C.
