"This hotel is very close to the railroad depot, so you hear the train whistle thoughout the night. It is within walking distance to downtown, so it was convenient for us. The walk is uphill going. Not an issue for us, but may be for others. They have a free shuttle which brings you to the hotel and back to the airport - so very convenient. When I called from the airport about the shuttle, the front desk guy was a little short with me and said that like he told the other guy - there is one shuttle and we would have to wait for it. I told him, not a problem and we made our way to the pick up area. The lady driving the shuttle was really nice so it made up for the other person. Check in was easy and our room was on the third floor. The rooms are configured differently - big room with empty space. We thought the hotel may have been something else and was turned into a hotel because of the layout. The water pressure in the shower was good, but you need to let the water warm up. I believe there is an indoor pool but we didn’t use it. Breakfast is included and is the standard continental: scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, toast, bagels and coffee/juices. They may change it up on different days. Even though the hotel was clean, bed comfortable, etc. - I wouldn’t stay again because of the train whistle. It woke me up, so not good for sensitive sleepers like me. If you are a sound sleeper - it would be ideal."

"This hotel is plain and straightforward. The room was clean and quiet, and there is onsite laundry if you need to wash up clothes. There’s only fast food nearby, so you have to go farther out for sit down food."

"This is not a bad place to stay considering what hotels go for around Anchorage. For the price, which is generally half what other brands are in the area, you get a decent room. The room was clean and the shuttle to and from the airport is a great touch. Would definitely stay here again."

"The shuttle from the airport was short only 15 minutes. Right on time. The hotel staff was helpful with any questions. The cleaning staff maintained our room everyday. The breakfast each day was hot and fully stocked. The waffles were delicious."

"Alyeska Resort is a 5 star resort in a 10 star setting. The view from the back terrace is beautiful and there are multiple opportunities for hiking, biking or just gazing. The restaurants are also top notch."

"Perfect aesthetic. Clean, brand-new everything. Great coffee. Great staff. I wish there’d been a bathtub rather than just a shower, but everything else is perfect. Also, easy walk to train station, even with luggage."
