A desert sanctuary in Wondervalley to stargaze and escape the city

"Initially was a bit surprised by the unpaved dirt roads getting there, but couldn’t have been happier settling in. The home is very remote and quiet. It’s a bit of a drive into town, but totally worth it! We didn’t want to leave much anyway.The location was easy to find with Google maps (even late at night) and the check-in process was straightforward. The space was neat, clean and organized. Plenty of games to pass the time indoors in the AC and lots of beautiful spaces outdoors to enjoy. The jacuzzi was easy to use and clean. Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, pans, and the freezer even had ice for us. Coffee was also available (thank you!). Bathroom had fresh towels and soap for us.There was only a little bit of light pollution so the stars were incredibly bright while we were there during a new moon. An absolutely dreamy view while in the jacuzzi. We didn’t use it, but there was a cozy fire-pit in back as well, and a hammock. It rained a decent amount while we were there and the main roads were closed temporarily due to flooding. The unpaved roads were okay to traverse in our Subaru, but be prepared if you have a car lower to the ground. We saw someone get stuck in the muck after the rain. But, the lovely Host was very helpful providing info about how to navigate our way. TLDR; would totally stay here again! The private jacuzzi out under the stars was well worth the trek. "My dog and I had a great time here. The entrance to JTNP isn't too far away. There is a big fenced in yard. The grill was nice and clean and there's a shaded table outside that worked great even in the middle of the 99 degree day. You could see a ton of stars at night. There is only one house close by but it was empty when I was there. This is a very peaceful place. I would like to come back."

"We loved staying at this property, the kitchen was well stocked and there were lots of nice improvements since our last stay, such as a new patio set and stargazing chairs! Overall a great option to enjoy some quiet and prace away from the bustle of the city and of the crowds that the park will bring!"

"A beautiful little mirage in the desert. U walk in and it has everything u could need. It's clean and decorated nicely. When u walk out ite the desert with a quaint walk to the fire pit. It has a jacuzzi but I didn't use it. All in all its perfect."
