Short walk in to town, as well as only being a 15 minute walk to the ferry. Very modern inside with everything you need. Exactly what my wife, 2 year old son and I were looking for. Having a parking space in such a prime location is a major plus, however be warned the space is quite tight if you have a particularly large vehicle. We have a Nissan Qashqai which just fit. The property is situated very close to Ambleside, giving you the option to walk into the town to shop, eat or get information, but also a great central location to visit many places in the Lake District. The cleanliness of the property was great, beds comfortable and a nice layout of the main area. The only downsides are that there isn’t any outside areas (garden/bbq area), car parking is a little tight and the shower/wet room can get a little slippery. The cottage has been beautifully renovated to a really high standard. My only criticism really would be the road noise from the main bedroom - I think heavy curtains would help a great deal, instead of the current voiles, and would block out the light that comes in at the edges of the blind. Otherwise, this is a fantastic place to stay, with everything Ambleside has to offer just a short stroll away. ##### Neil S. The layout was very good with lots of nice touches like the under floor heating and night light in the bathroom. The kitchen was of a decent standard and well stocked. ##### Alec B. Very close to the centre of Ambleside and a gentle stroll to Lake Windermere, the location is great and the parking a bonus. We had a fantastic week and are sure to return.
