This quaint one bedroom cottage is set in the very heart of Ambleside. Jackdaw Cottage is the perfect getaway and spring board to the Lakes. It is a cosy cottage with gas wood burner. The holiday home dates back from the 18th century and was part of a working community within Ambleside which had various types of industry. A good quality bed dressed in crisp cotton sheets guarantees a restful night’s sleep after a day on the fells or sightseeing. You can come back and relax and enjoy that well deserved break. Lovely old cottage in the old part of Ambleside.. just off the main road but quiet, and with its own garage nearby. It has a small courtyard with table and chairs. It was a bit less well equipped than most places we have rented but there are shops nearby selling everything, and of course plenty of restaurants and pubs. A lovely wee cottage in an excellent spot, a few minutes walk to all that Ambleside has to offer. The table out the front door gets loads of sunshine throughout the day and it's a very quite spot despite being so close to everything. Having access to the garage is also great. The cottage is generally well equipped but the kitchen has some strange things missing like a grill tray.
