"We stayed a whole week in the apartment and could not have had a better time there! Bernard picked us up from the train station and welcomed us with fresh coconuts. He and his family were extremely nice, and even invited us to a dinner cooked by his wife on the last day. The apartment is very well decorated and brand new. "Very relaxed, easy going place, great location, breezy view of estuary. It's a large room, nice furniture, bedding etc. Bar, very diversely stocked supermarket, resistant and coffee shop downstairs, means you have most things at your fingertips. Beach is 5-10min walk, as is boat hire, (all the fun craft available). I hired a kayak for an hour, very pleasant easy lagoon and estuary paddle.its a short walk from Aluthgama station. Bentota is over the bridge. "
