Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Entire Cabin with enough space for 2 adults and 2 children or 4 adults. You are staying in the beautiful Lincoln National Forrest!
Travis Cabin is a quiet, and modest get away with all the right stuff. A small drive to down town Ruidoso, New Mexico puts you close to the Forrest, shopping, horse racing, skiing, and hiking. This cabin and whole area are non-smoking.
Other things to note
Travis Cabin is close to Ruidoso Down, Inn of the Mountain Gods Casino, Smokey the Bear Museum and Ski Apache There is only one parking spot next to the cabin. The hill coming up is really steep. If your car has trouble keep your speed going up and turn off the traction control. 4x4 is perfered. If all else fails you can park at the bottom where the office is. Do not park near the road because you will be towed.

Buyer beware!
If you want to put more than two adults in this place, welcome to the world of packed sardines! Poorly maintained road and inadequate parking space, absolutely horrible. Not secluded as the photo would indicate. There are cabins all around. The stove was filthy, in the bottom drawer dried food crumbs and spilled food on the opening ledge of drawer. All the right stuff, not so, only one knife that you could not even cut with. As for privacy, when the host sends you a message the next morning that they see that your porch light was not on, you feel an invasion of privacy! Obviously, this place is terribly overpriced. There are many other places in Ruidoso that are lovely and priced appropriately. The only reason we were in this place was because our normal accommodations were not available. We will never stay there again and certainly would not recommend it to anyone.

Nice but small and difficult to enter the propriety.
Very clean. shower very small. Need lights in the front entrance, we have to use flashlight to enter. Need taller barricade where you park. Was afraid to bring car to much forward. The front entrance to the cabins need to be improved the grounds. Car was spinning at dirt and rocks and finally got traction in order to enter the property. Code to enter the cabin should be send at least 2 days prior the rental date. Television would be nice to have. Have utensils to cook ,refrigerator works well.
