"Lovely little hotel in the mountains! Super friendly receptionists (all 3 I encountered) as well as all the other staff. There was a wide selection for breakfast including eggs benedict on request. The sauna (pre-booking required) was a bonus and the evening little slice of cake and weather forecast was a really nice addition. The room was compact...but I had booked 'small budget'...so was in line with expectations. Although no parking, there is plenty of free spaces nearby."

NYX Hotel Limassol

10/10 Excellent

"The best breakfast layout I have ever seen. With so many choices, it’s a marathon. Very friendly staff & managers. Though the room is a bit small but it’s right in the heart of the city where everything is walkable. Will positively stay again whenever I return."

Forest Park Hotel

8/10 Good

"This used to be a very fancy hotel. it's huge, located in a beautiful forest. Yet it's outdated, though kept spot clean everywhere. only 1 small elevator for the entire building, and heat is turned on for few hours only. it got really cold in the evening (2-3 degrees), and the room is cold in the morning. Balcony railing is very low and unsafe."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Alona?

The best area to stay in Alona is the village centre, particularly around the main square and the surrounding streets. This area is the heart of Alona, offering a blend of traditional Cypriot village life and convenient access to local amenities. You'll find the main church, local tavernas, and small shops concentrated here, making it easy to explore on foot. The streets are narrow and winding, characteristic of mountain villages. For couples seeking a peaceful escape, staying in the village centre provides a delightful experience.
