"Not what I would have hoped for. The front desk seemed really put out if you ask for anything. I asked for extra coffee cups and was questioned as to why. We put our sign out to get the room cleaned and it wasn’t done all morning. However, once it was done it was done very well. The window in the room was cracked. The mattress on the bed moved every time we tried to lay or sit down. Breakfast is just adequate. No hot water for my tea. The button for hot water on the coffee maker didn’t work. I would not stay here again."

"Very clean. Great for a dog with fenced in yard. Only problem was the toilet next to bedroom made noise all night. Had to sleep upstairs in seperate beds it was that annoying. Other than that nice place."

"This was our second time staying in this quaint little cabin in the woods. It was just how we remembered it from two years ago. Perfect little place for a couple spending time in the straights area. The hosts truly have thought about every little thing! 10/10"

"Rented the property to have a large family get together. After booking I emailed asking how many table and chairs were in the large room. Was advised 5 round tables and 6 chairs for each. That isn’t what we found. After arriving and digging out the front door which is about 10 feet from the plowed parking lot and covered in over a foot of snow with no shovel in site. We found 5 round tables and 18 chairs. When I messaged the host. I was told the add. chairs were at the adjacent lodge, and I could go get what I needed and would need to take them back. The issue was that the adjacent lodge (down a separate drive ) was not plowed and was buried in snow with no way to get to. We didn’t have enough seating for the party that we had with our family and had a large amount of ppl standing. The issue that tops them all was that I had recieved bites on my left ankle the first night and thought it was a mosquito. Super itchy and would burn when itching then. Second night the opposite ankle. The day we left my brother sleeping in the room adjacent from ours also mentioned itchy bites on his ankle and my son on his foot. My sister in law saw them and said those aren’t mosquitoes it’s the dead of winter. I hadn’t even thought of anything else. Upon further investigation it appears we had received bed bug bites! We contacted VRBO after checkout and they advised the host said this wasn’t possible and declined any type of issues I’ve mentioned above."

"Was easy to find and access was easy. There was plenty of room for all 11 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of games, dvds, and toys for the kids. We enjoyed being right there on the water and was able to easily go out and ice fish. "

"The Lodge at Eagles Nest is a great place to stay. The hosts are very accommodating, and the place is amazing. Full arcade in the basement, including Pinball and Ping Pong. The pool room was great, and the pool so nice. Watched Deer out the windows as the Snow came down! Kitchen is fully stocked, and the built in Griddle/Flat-Top got tons of use! All bedrooms have a Private Bath, and additional Beds and Baths in the basement. Secluded but not too far from Indian River and Petoskey. We will be staying there again!"
