Perfect Lakeside House

The house was clean and well stocked. It is also in the perfect location just south of Algoma. The views of Lake Michigan from the house and backyard are magnificent. It is a very peaceful place to relax and enjoy the view.

Beautiful, peaceful setting

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The sunrises over Lake Michigan were spectacular, and the evenings were equally beautiful with the moonlight dancing off the water. We enjoyed a lakeside fire. This location offers easy access both to Door County and the Packers game.

A beautiful location. The large windows overlooking the lake made the inside so light filled and relaxing. A perfect homebase for exploring Door county. After the crowds and busyness, it was so refreshing to return to the wonderful serenity of this VRBO. Very private and quiet location.

Weekend Girls Trip

Absolutely adored this property! It was so relaxing to have all the windows open and enjoy the sounds of the lake. Perfect location for people wanting to stay out of the congestion in Door County. The property is right on Lake Michigan. There is a beautiful view, outdoor swing, fire pit and indoor fireplace. It was an ideal location for exploring Door County. The house was immaculately clean and well stocked with amenities.

All I wanted was a lake view and to have a campfire at night. This location far exceeded my wishes. Very clean and had absolutely everything necessary for a lovely visit. Highly recommend Von Stiel Winery in Algoma. We drove the entire door county loop and honestly the best Lakeview was at serenity.

A perfect weekend getaway for two tired teachers. Views were great, great yard, very clean! Very sweet neighbor across the street helped with firewood! Had everything we needed! Very close to a busy road so some traffic noise! But we had a very nice weekend

I can’t say enough about my short 2 day stay. The property is absolutely beautiful! Well kept and truly feels like a gem. Enjoying the evening with a fire and the crashing of waves in the background was a highlight of my trip. If you’re even considering staying here, do it! I have zero disappointments.

Fishing and relaxation

We planned a salmon fishing trip and needed a place where we could unwind close to it all. This was that perfect place! It was very clean and well kept. It had everything we needed. Plus, the location couldn't be better. Relaxing and sleeping to the sounds of the waves made it that much more enjoyable. Plus, the lake breeze kept all of the bugs away. We will definately be coming back.

Best bonfire spot

What a lovely property. Super clean, and clearly the family has a project of love restoring this older lake home to its former (and new) glory. The interior was clean and comfortable. The exterior of the house is showing a little age, but seriously don’t overlook this gem. If you love sitting out sitting around a fire listening to the waves this IS the spot. Thank you!

Excellent getaway and staging site for trip to Door County. Right on highway but not busy or noisy. Nice beach and boardwalk in town a couple miles away. Rocks below drop-off, no beach at house but no big deal to us. Loved hearing the waves all the time. No washer/dryer.

Door County First Timers

We didn’t want to be in the midst of DC and wanted something quiet. This is about an hour from the Northern tip of DC. The view of the Lale is spectacular. The sunrises were so much fun to watch and the moon rising and shining was excellent. Our first morning there we had a bald eagle land in the tree right there in the yard. The only suggestion I have is at least 1 larger bed.

Peaceful Mother / Daughter getaway

My daughter and I had a lovely, serene 3 night stay at this beautiful lakeside property. Although it was 87 degrees at midday there was always a cool breeze and plenty of shade over the comfortable seaside swing so we never felt too warm. The lush grass was very inviting and the grounds were well groomed so we spent much of our time right there watching the seagulls and pelicans . The house is comfortably furnished and kitchen very well stocked including a full spice rack. There's a Keurig coffee maker and plenty of coffee supplied. Large grill on patio. Table and chairs with shade umbrella outside. Also there's a large flat screen tv which was not pictured in photos. Many games and books, huge telescope for viewing. Wonderful food at Caffe Tlazo for breakfast and lunch! Gluten free options, salads, baked goods, etc. Only open till 3. We're already thinking about returning next summer!

Quiet and quaint... a perfect Lake Michigan getaway

This property and the overall experience ... truly incredible. The pictures are spot-on for this property. Gorgeous, clean home with amazing views. The property was very well-appointed with everything you'd need, and the welcome notes and tourism materials were so appreciated. The remodel of this quaint property was exceptionally well-done, with attention to retaining the character of the original home. If you aren't a huge fan of the "touristy" aspect of vacations and are looking for a slower, quieter locale, definitely consider staying in the southern part of the peninsula where this property is located. You can drive north an hour or so to visit those towns to enjoy the shopping and restaurants there, and then escape back south to the solitude of this amazing property. Businesses and restaurants in Algoma and Kewaunee alone can fill your time and interest. Just be prepared... you might not be able to stay awake if you rest and relax in the back yard. The repetitive sound of waves crashing on the rocks below is hypnotic and lovely. A perfect getaway. Thank you!

Private and Serene

If privacy, beauty, and cleanliness are things you look for when selecting a vacation abode, you'll find it here. The back yard and patio provide a serene space to enjoy the beauty of Lake Michigan with no neighbors. This was the spot we began each day with, enjoying our morning coffee, before venturing off to take in the local attractions. Access to the home is easy and the entry door is well lit. The home was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We appreciated the telescope and binoculars. Only two things you should be aware of. Though the freezer has an ice cube maker, we couldn't figure out how to turn it on. There was a half a bag of ice in the freezer and a tray that was full. If you use a lot of ice, I suggest stopping for a bag before you arrive. And FYI, the television does not have network or sports programming. Don't let either of those things dissuade you from this listing. It's a five-star accommodation that I recommend without hesitation.
