We loved the location, the water, the amenities, the short drive to all the fun Door County towns. The house was so cute, and had everything inside and out that a family of 5 would need. I first want to say that, overall, this was exactly what wife my and I needed and expected. that being said, this is obviously a 1950's-ish lakeside house. The host has done a lot of good work in doing some updates, but...if you are looking for pure luxury and space...this isn't for you. Then again, if you are renting this for that...you're missing out...because the highlights are the very secluded, private location and the spectacular view. I wish we could have stayed longer. They had easy to access kayaks, life jackets, and the bikes, you name it they had it. The property was gorgeous. The cabin was updated, comfortable, and clean. We enjoyed the three seasons room with great view of the lake! They had everything we could possibly need for a family with small children and a dog. We greatly enjoyed the adventure shed and all that was available. The rental is well equipped, particularly for young active families. The lake is just out the back door, there is a large deck for viewing. The lakeshore is rocky but the water looks shallow with a sandy bottom. We enjoyed warm fires in the fireplace. The cottage is a great location forexploring Door County and nearby Weinke's Market is a wonderful place for local produce and preserves. I think a space heater in the three seasons room would be a welcome addition on colder Fall days. ##### Les B. The home itself was great as far as space went- little short on closet space. We spent much time in the family room. Beautiful views of lake. We however had concerns about some issues like very dirty garbage can in living area-had to bleach it to get rid of smell, bathroom sick was clogged, outdoor grills were both so rusted and dirty that we couldn’t use either. Fire pit was also dirty. When we arrived at home we had to sanitize all the utensils- per notice on refrigerator. So these issues really put a damper on our stay. ##### Sharon K. It is a great place to go on vacation,enjoy the quiet,, have a cup a coffee and just take in Lake Michigan. The cottage was furnished with much more than we expected so we did not have to bring everything we did. Even my corgi was relaxed and enjoyed being able to roll his favorite ball around. What we didn't expect was a bad storm that knocked out the power for a few hours and the terrential rain that came with the storm.
