Loved the location, our spacious room and the lovely rooftop breakfast. The rooms need some freshening up as the room had a musty, moldy smell.

Amazing gem of a hotel
Amazing place in the old historic area. Rooftop was amazing and breakfast was great. Little touches like bottled water and candies as you enter. Will definitely come back

The location was great and not a far drive from the main beaches. The hostess was great - she was informative, friendly, and addressed any request we had. Highly recommended if you're planning to stay in Lagos.

Good and bad
There are many positives about this place - the location is great - walking distance to many beaches and sites; you can sit on your balcony and hear music from the square. The breakfast is very good (except for the coffee). In terms of cleanliness, the room was clean and tidy. In terms of cons, the bed is very uncomfortable (thin mattress where you feel the coils), the linens and towels are very worn. The biggest negative for me was that a staff member gave my phone number to another guest without my consent.

Charming, affordable and perfect location
This is the perfect hybrid of a hotel and Air BNB - no on-site staff except for check-in, breakfast and cleaning. But it's a lovely, charming and very affordable place to stay right in the middle of the old town, and near the beaches. Get a room with a terrace - the view of the old town is gorgeous, and you can drink some of the complimentary bottle of wine they leave you. Laundry service is inexpensive, reliable and high quality. The complimentary breakfast is fabulous - fresh squeezed OJ and a great view.

Rooftop breakfast area had a beautiful view. You can sit up there anytime. Location in the heart of the action. There are 3 units, one is an apartment. Beware no elevator no reception no lobby. You can text the lady in charge. My gluten free bread request was forgotten on the first breakfast. I require gluten free due to Celiac Disease. They provided it the last 2 days. Housekeeping was not up to par. One day out of three, they took towels and never replaced. Our friends in another room had extra towels. The n next day they hung up our used wet towels and did not make the bed. Our friends had clean dry towels. We were paying more, since we had to book the apartment to stay with our friends. I was able to catch housekeeping and they left old frayed towels. The bath robes looked liked they were 40 years old no kidding! The pillows were very uncomfortable small and flat. We were in the apartment unit and the kitchen faucet was very loose coming out of the sink and hard to turn . This could be much improved With attention to detail!!!

We had the whole suite with a balcony, amazing breakfast and so conveniently located. We had to leave early on the last day and they provided a take away brunch the nighy before for us. Plus, there was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. Great experience!!

Excellent hotel
This apartment style hotel is in great location. Very close to the city center, marina and all important sites. The breakfast basket was outside my door daily. A lot of fresh stuff inside. Really awesome. Beyond my expectation. The wifi is good, The shower is good. My room on second floor left hand side one. It has no table to use for laptop or sit down to eat. I hope they can put a folding table in the room. The room key, safe box key are old style. I really like this hotel. Will recommend it to my friends.

The property is located in perhaps the most central location in Lagos, steps from Praça Luís de Camões and with many shops, bars and restaurants a short walk. The closest beach is 10 minutes away on foot. I was upgraded to the apartment on floor one, which includes an eat in kitchen (with a small terrace), living room and bedroom. A communal breakfast terrace is located on the roof. The apartment is kept very clean and has a rustic charm. The property doesn’t have on-site staff 24/7, but staff arrive to greet you personally upon your stated arrival time and were exceptionally gracious and thoughtful.

A Place of Unrealized Potential
We were hoping this property would become a frequent weekend getaway venue because we live in the Algarve and really like the town of Lagos. The location was excellent - very central, in the old town and by the waterfront, in the middle of everything. Unfortunately, on arrival we were told that breakfast would be served in another location. We had chosen this location specifically because I have an injured ankle, but now we had to walk what was a short distance but very steep street to have breakfast. So we did not go back for breakfast after the first day. The bathroom was shockingly inadequate; there was no space around the washbasin, nowhere to put even a toothbrush. No bathmat for the shower so we had to use one of the towels to mop up the floor after each shower. The booking said tea/coffee maker and minibar in the room, which turned out to be a kettle and some herbal teas but no coffee, milk or sweetener, and really no place to make a cup of tea. With some more care and attention to what guests really need, this place could be a good experience.

Nice central place, can be a bit noisy at night so bring earplugs if you’re sensitive. Nice breakfast and owners couldn’t do enough for you! We had to leave early which means we would miss breakfast and they gave us a basket with some goodies for breakfast to take with us. Rooms are cosy, equipped with everything you need. The views from the terrace are great. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return :)

The room is clean but just wanna add suggestion. As i stayed in the small room and we had just the small bathroom there is a wooden compartment right on the left as you get in to the bathroom,its bit dangerous as you could always get hurt when you bump your head to that especially when you want to go in the middle of night. Happened to me twice. And didnt prepare bath mat sp we actually we have had to use the small towel to be the mat. Other than that service is excellent and breakfast is beautifully prepared by Luis everyday. Well done.
