Superb low key hotel

Posted 27-Dec-2017
Pros: Low key approach Food Facilities
Cons: Noise around marina can be a bit challenging at night due to echoing off the cobbles.
Location: Plenty to do, ria Fomorsa, bars and restaurants all close by Train and bus station just seconds from the hotel - easy to use and explore nearby towns
For a large and high end hotel a stay here can be as low key as you want. No hassle, great facilities and value for money choices in restaurant make it a relaxing bolt hole to avoid the Christmas rubbish.

Well located. Refurbished rooms. TV was small and very old. Good breakfast although coffee was cold.

Pleasant, clean hotel close to everything

Posted 20-Dec-2017
Pros: Cleanliness, Staff, Location, Breakfast
The EVA is close to the bus and train stations, the main reason we stayed. It's clean, the staff is friendly and efficient. The regular rooms are a bit small-try for a suite if you can get one at a reasonable price. The breakfast is the best we've had at any hotel we've ever stayed at-includes custom omelets and champagne, as well as any other item you've ever thought of having for breakfast. All rooms we've stayed in had a balcony, with table and chairs-great for people-watching. They arranged for an airport pickup, which was nice, and the train station for the trip to Lagos is a 5-minute walk.

Nice comfortable hotel. Handy for bus and train station and town centre. Lovely breakfast room. Although breakfast itself was cold, as was the coffee.

Not a great night's sleep

Posted 09-Dec-2017
Pros: Location
Location: The hotel was situated overlooking the marina and very handy for the local bars and restaurants
The hotel rooms was clean and reasonably comfortable. €15 euro per night to upgrade to a sea view in a practically empty hotel seemed unreasonable. Our stay was marred by the noise from the hotel restaurant on the floor above our room on our last night. Really loud music till gone 1am prevented us from getting to sleep in preparation for the flight home the next day.

Expensive for what it was but excellent location

Posted 05-Dec-2017
Pros: Nice restaurant, good breakfast
Cons: Room decor is a little dated. Tired rooms where we stayed 2nd time.
Location: Excellent location in Faro
Had to change room after 1st one offered was poor (mould in bathroom, bedroom wallpaper coming away). Not a cheap room either. New room was better but still had tired decor. It was clean and staff were very good. I have stayed here before and the room was much better on that occasion so this could be a hit and miss thing. Very handy for the train or bus station and Faro harbour. Downside is a litle noise can filter through from the street below. Try to get a room facing the harbour (more expensive, I bet).

Only game in town

Posted 03-Dec-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Build a new hotel on the site.
Location: Everything is near by. Sites, restaurants, shopping, train station and bus station.
If you want a hotel in Faro that's close to everything that counts. This is it. It's a bit dated and showing its age. But, the rooms are cleans and staff is great.

Excellent location

Posted 28-Nov-2017
Stayed here for 2 nights. A modern hotel on the waterfront within a 5 min walk to the bus terminal and the old town. Nice room of reasonable size. Thank you expedia for showing room sizes on your room booking pages. Excellent breakfast on top floor with sweeping water views. My only criticism is it's almost impossible to read due to to the low wattage lights.
