Excellent choice for Faro

Posted 24-May-2017
The harbor view rooms are very modern and nicely updated. The other room that we saw was nice but less updated. The hotel is convienently located to the bus and train terminals so that day trips around the Algarves was easy to coordinate. The breakfast was great to have every morning and we enjoyed the pool facilities as well.

Central location in Faro, walk to sites in Faro

Posted 22-May-2017
Pros: The hotel gym was a gorgeous boutique gym next door. Rooftop pool was decent.
Cons: Rooms need to be updated, as do hallways. Staff could be more polite and helpful. Customer service definitely not their strong point.
Location: Walking distance to the old church, old town of Faro plus bus and train stations are a block or 2 away, helpful for trips out of Faro.
Pro's: Only about 10 min from airport & you can walk to tons of places in Faro. Hotel gym is a great, as you have access to a full boutique gym directly next door to hotel (hotel guests have their own entrance to gym) and rooftop pool was nice. Breakfast is good as long as it's included in room and you're not paying extra for it. A block away from bus station, two blocks away from train station. Con's: Hotel room was very dated and smelled incredibly musty. Hotel staff was not helpful or very friendly (odd seeing as all other experiences I've had in Portugal with hotel staff have been very pleasant). While you are close to most things in Faro, please note that there really isn't a ton to see in Faro. If you are wanting to see the gorgeous beaches that the Algarve is known for, this is not where you would want to base your stay in the Algarve. It is convenient if you have an early train or flight to catch, but I wouldn't stay here more than one night for a true Algarve experience.

Great location on Harbour

Posted 14-May-2017
Pros: Reception area was beautiful and love that it was on the water. Very close to everything being a small place.
Cons: Update the rooms to match the hotel lobby.
Location: Very central and easy walking.
Room was dated with stains on carpets and the bathroom grouting needed to be done. Room was noisy. Close to train station and flight path. Not a superior room for the price.

Good hotel

Posted 07-May-2017
Great location. The hotel is nice with an excellent breakfast that's included . Rooms are on the small side but the balconies are a nice addition. Only real issue was checking in we weren't expecting every guest to have to show a passport (no warning) but it ended up being alright. I would recommend a stay here overall

Great value for money

Posted 04-May-2017
Great location, right on the harbour. Ten minute walk to get anywhere in Faro. There's not a great deal to do in Faro, so the rooftop pool & bar area got quite a workout! Awesome spot with bangin' tunes. The bartenders are slow, but when you're on vacay mode, I guess this doesn't matter too much. I didn't eat dinner at the restaurant (but probs should have coz all the restaurants in Faro are average). Had dessert and a glass of port at the end of my night. When the waiter brought the wrong dessert, he apologised profusely, quickly brought me the correct dessert and refilled my port glass as an apology. Lovely wait staff! My room was large and clean. Probs won't return to Faro, but if I did, this is the hotel I'd stay at. The brekky buffet was insanely good too. Sparkling wine included. Ding ding jackpot!

High class hotel, good location

Posted 01-May-2017
Pros: Location and quality of the room
The inside of the hotel is immaculate and the room was very comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance of the marina and the train station. Staff were very friendly and helpful, speaking English very well. We only stayed one night, arriving late and leaving early but can't fault the hotel at all.

Lovely view Small room small balcony Good location

Posted 30-Apr-2017
Went end of April. Lovely roof top pool but too cold and windy to use. Small room. Balcony overlooking marina. Beautiful view but no afternoon , evening sun in fact I don't think any of the rooms could offer this. Fantastic breakfast and very good location. Friendly staff but for the price . We paid £ 100 a night for three nights . not worth it.
