It would have been nice if one of the outside lights was on so we could see we were at the right place. A little disappointed that there weren't the raw materials to make so much as a cup of coffee (just empty caddies) The room was comfortable; shower and water pressure were both excellent. Arrived but all away. We were shown our room but was told that the owner had been called away to an emergency. We were not offered a drink or told what would be happening. We waited a while but no one came so we decided to drive into town to find food and water. Stayed out for a while and returned later and still no one there so collected our bags and left. This rating is probably no a true reflection of the farm but the only one we can give due to the experience. The welcome was overwhelming and our 3 days adventure had begun. Everything was just perfect. The meals were superb South African cooking. The river is very inviting at about 30 degrees temperature. The views are stunning (aloe cultivation, bee hives, cattle, sheep, goats, birds, flowers, island, and many more). The family creates an absolute fantastic atmosphere, you leave there as a new person.
