What is really brilliant, is the very nice and helpful reception staff, who will give you comprehensive information about local transport, sights, and will recommend a really great local restaurant (Kissanviisket, you must visit). Jyväskylä has very nice Alvar Aalto museum, Central Finland museum and, nearby in Tikkakoski you will find the Finnish Air Force Museum.
