We had an absolutely wonderful stay at mVillas Tamarindo! From the moment we arrived, the villa was beautiful, comfortable and exactly what our family needed for our Costa Rica vacation. We especially loved having our own private pool and plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. The villa was a perfect home base for us while exploring Tamarindo, going on excursions, enjoying the beach and spending quality time together as a family. The location was convenient, the surroundings were peaceful, and we truly felt at home during our stay. Some of our favorite moments were simply being together at the villa, relaxing by the pool and enjoying the beautiful Costa Rican atmosphere. Our family left with so many wonderful memories, and mVillas was a big part of the experience. We would definitely recommend it to families or groups visiting Tamarindo and would happily stay again. The hotel is beautiful. It has the most beautiful views. The staff was very professional. Three of them , Franklin, Glen and Carlos very very professional and helpful. My only complaint is that by the time I did the reservation , the two restaurants were working , but when we get there the Pampas was closed so that’s not fear. In my opinion The hotel must inform us about this. .

food is okay, kinda of bland and meats were overcooked to the point it was hard like a rock. Only 2 places open everyday for lunch and lunch. The other restaurants (Mexicsn and Asian require you to wait online, and if you arrive after 8, you may not be let it. The Mexican one was our least favorite. Steakhouse was okay but salad was poorly prepared, my partner choked on a large bone from salad. When we complained to the hotel manager, he denied it and was very rude. Poor customer service skills. The rooms were nice but they don’t mop floors, just sweep so floors felt very dirty. I asked to replace soft drinks and empty bottle of rum(which was there since day 1 of our checking), it took 4 days to do it. After numerous tickets through their app finally they did it. The drinks were very watered down at the bars. The only good bar that had good alcohol was near the outdoor performance area and it was only open at night. Overall I would not recommend simply due to poor customer service skills. They don’t seem to care about your concerns or have any empathy.

The location of the resort is great amazing views of Papagayo. The welcome was average and immediately they try to upsell you on rooms and ready to charge you to go to a better room. Although the room I preselected prior to checkin was perfect. The rooms are great, clean and the day to day staff, servers, drivers were very friendly. Special thank you to Kevin in the pool area, Pamela who assisted us in our initial check in to cover for our agent shortfall. Kimberleen provided great service at breakfast we were served rolls which we didn’t realize were included until she served us. We had been there prior days.🙁 The food is mediocre often lacked season and like warm. The best was brisket and salmon. Being sold a star class experience but struggling to get reservations is disappointing and waste of time it took us to book. We were told on our first day of checkin don’t expect to get a reservation on day 1. We arrived on a Wednesday at 1pm how can that be? We didn’t get a response from our butler that was sold to us until the next day afternoon. At that point with the help of Pamela for our restaurant bookings , we had book our own excursions. Then he sent a message he was going on vacation Friday at 4 and if we needed anything. No sir we don’t we would need someone available our entire time we are here not his schedule. We did ask for our pickup of our bags which also never happened. The resort should rethink selling upgraded options because we didn’t get that experience.
