The hotel itself is clean and really looks nice. Staff was tough communication-wise. (Restaurant couldn't put things on our room, for example.) Rooms are nice and big. Pool had no water in it. Wifi access was constantly a problem. It looks nicer than it really was in terms of stay.

Bad experience
What is portrayed on websites is not what you get. One of the worst experiences we had ever had. Rooms were dirty and smelling. Staff were so unfriendly and rude. No hot water and when asked was advised to wait for shower till the morning. Lifts were not working. Linen was so dirty and the walls had mildews. We booked three rooms and all three rooms were the same. Rooms were infested with Mosquitoes. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was a beautiful hotel. We had amazing breakfast and enjoyed our stay in a lovely relaxing suite. Would loved to stay there again

Taj Mahal magnificent, hotel service not.
Hotel and gardens were beautiful, but service from counter staff awful. Lighting in room was bizarre had to turn off main power switch to turn off lights at night, only bath towels were in room. Taj Mahal was amazing so made up for everything else.

Property is good but Need to maintained by owner.
Overall is balanced not very good nor very bad. My suggestion to maintain the rooms, room walls are dampened, room mirror is very poor, Ac and lights are automatically on after few minutes after off .

Poorly maintained hotel
The hotel was easy to locate, reception was good, room service was also fine. However the room itself was a disaster List of problems 1. Room was not serviced before handover. 2. There was so much of smell when we entered the room, as if it was not opened in months. 3. Walls had dampness 4. All mirrors were in immediate need of replacement as they all lost the polish. 5. No heating, only cooling in air conditioning. 6. Half of the lights were not working in the room 7. Beds and pillows smelled of sewer. On checking out, the room service searched the entire room in front of us, as if we would have stolen something, how disrespectful. We didn't even bother for the breakfast as the timing was limited from 7:30-10:30 Overall a dreadful experience.

Hotel in decline
Promised much delivered little. Changed rooms 3 times due to faulty plumbing, air conditioner and broken window. Towels and linen worn and stained. Many staff unkempt - especially in restaurant. Dirty floors and cutlery. Won't visit again

Great hotel with many amenities!
This hotel made our experience of the Taj Mahal seem very luxurious for a low cost. I would defenitely recommend everyone who visits from a different country to check in here.

Nice hotel, close to Taj Mahal
Good hotel to stay with family. Breakfast menu is limited and food is average. We stayed in the TANSEN COURT where the rooms are big and clean. But we found patches in the wall, might be due to the seepage.

Left a very bad taste !!
Very bad impression. Some major dislikes (not listing bunch of minor issues): 1) Checked in during midnight hr (after completing last Aarti at Brindavan). Pathetic check in experience. Whole hotel looked like a dark old scary place(No lights at all!!). Had to literally say "Is anybody around ?" 2) Smelly rooms(both mine and my parents one) in shabby state with mosquitos having a gala time. 3) No hot water in bathrooms during night hrs (This was the response from support staff). Note: This is winter time and my mother and little daughter had a tough time. 4) No Wifi. This list goes on and on. Saving grace: Ok breakfast. Though i have issues to point here too, but then i will be considered nitpicking. Well maintained garden !! (+1 for this) Overall: Did somebody say this is a 4/5 star hotel ? Sorry !! Tough to even consider this as three star.

stay in Orient Taj is amazing, good and huge property gives you good luxury and comfort overall. 1.5 km away from Taj which is not bad. Service is good but bit slow may be coz of huge property. I enjoyed stay here with my family. I recommend it for Agra the best one at this budget.

We assumed that due to the Wyndham brand name attached to it, the property will have at least some basic standard in terms of professionalism, room quality, etc. We were very disappointed by our initial impressions of the Room (the outside seemed fine with the garden and layout etc, but in general run down) - rust on the mirror side, lack of proper hot water in the morning, lack of room heating, hardly any power outlets, a dingy feeling that we couldnt shake off. Even some of the facilities like the Spa/Massage room were staffed with people that were poor communicators or too salesy. The hotel is situated in a good location and is close to the Taj Mahal etc, but once you are inside, you realize that the management is sort of taking it easy and not making any attempts to modernize the place or service. My cousin stayed at a more recent Four Points Sheraton down the road, and the difference in lobby, get up, customer service, room amenities was stark. And the final straw was the delayed check out because they didn't have the folio details in order and kept waiting for the laundry receipt to show up (which had incorrect charges in the first place).

Never stay at Windham Grand
Very Bad stay. It was unbelievable that a hotel rated 5 star wouldn't have hot water in the shower. Constant follow up with housekeeping hardly helped. Situation temporarily improved after MR. Bagchand, Front office manager was made to visit our room. but next day onwards, it was the same. Set top box was blocked except for free channels like DD sports, DD news etc. No good TV channels were available. Hotel staff tried to bluff this as "technical problem" while actually the hotel is saving money by not subscribing. Very poor show. Don't stay here if you want to enjoy 5 star comfort. A beautiful looking but badly managed place.

Disgusting....
My suggestions to fellow traveler don't go on the pictures of the hotel. It is an absolute sham. They have brought the prices down to entice people to come and stay with them but the food pricing is exorbitant (1 scoop of ice cream Rs 640/- and 1 portion of butter chicken almost Rs 1000/-). Their service is so slow that a government office will be more efficient than them. Swimming pool is so dirty that you wouldn't wanna soak your legs in it. Staff needs a lot of training in terms of being curtious towards the guest. It is not worthy of being a 2 star let alone being a 5 star.

Nice & Comfortable Stay
It was a day stay. The hotel is superb and value for money (for stay only). Food is very costly and taste is below standard for a 4-4.5 star star property. Must try a restaurant "Pinch of Spice", hardly 2 kms from this hotel. I am sure you will love it. We had an awesome experience dining there.(Buffet cost-800/pax, far better taste than hotel food & cheap too)

The worst hotel we stayed at in our 2 week visit
Beautiful grounds. The room was the dirtiest place the food was bad they had sent their chef home many guest complinee of the same to lobby staff and they could not care about any of our concerns we checked out early

I went to India for the sole purpose of visiting the Taj Mahal. That did not disappoint. However Agra itself was poverty stricken and I certainly felt unsafe there. We hired a driver and guide for our visit. Worth every penny. We felt very safe within the confines of the hotel. Beautiful setting and well groomed grounds. The room smelt a little damp but overall was very pleasant. Morning breakfast buffet offered excellent choice options. Limited activities to do within Agra and the hotel. Lunch at the hotel restaurant was fairly decent. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate so was unable to utilize the beautiful pool area. Only real negative was the annoying bell boy on the morning of check out. He hovered too much and then left our bags out front in the pouring rain. That incident prevented me posting an excellent rating.

Nicest suite I have ever stayed in
This hotel is just beautiful. Our VIP suite was HUGE, and had 1 1/2 baths. Their buffet was very good and all their employees couldn't be nicer or more helpful.

Not Happy with Expedia Service or Hotel
We were traveling from Delhi to Agra to go to the Wyndham hotel. Due to the extremely heavy fog on the highway (0 visibility) our car was stuck on the highway. It was impossible to drive without the risk of a severe accident. So we had to pull over at the nearest hotel and could not make it to the Wyndham for the first night stay. There was absolutely nothing we could do "Force Majeure". We called Expedia and the Hotel for a refund for the first night but the answer was NO. Did not feel this was fair given the fog circumstances that all hotels in the Agra area were fully aware of and agreed with. In addition when we reached the hotel the room was very nice but nothing worked in the room including the hot water, lights, shower and other minor issues. We reported some of the issues but the response time was so slow that with a 1 day stay we just didn't have the time to play handyman. Disappointed with Expedia and the Hotel.

Ok, but bad service
We stayed one night during Christmas and had a ok stay. It took the bell boys 40 min to get our suitcases to our room, and actually I had to finally go to back to the main entrance and carry them most of the way myself. The rooms was very standard. Restaurant was ok, however missing good ambiance. Check-out took 30 min despite us being the only guest to check out, staff generally seemed untrained.

Its a large hotel with lot of greenery around. Room cleanliness was bad. The bed spreads didn't look clean. Same case with the toilet with leaking pipes. There are too many furnitures inside the room....difficult to move around freely...!!!. Hope they will take care of these shortfalls...!!!.

Hotel was overrated. Service level of staff were average. Pricing does match with the service offerings. Breakfast spread was limited and of poor quality. I will not recommend this hotel as a choice.

The Windham hotel is a great property
The hotel is a great property . Lobby is awesome and the cluster of rooms are very good. Fountain in the middle creates a mystic atmosphear in the night. I noted that the staff was not able to handle the morming rush during breakfast and hotel need to pick up additional staff

Horrible Service
Not one employee can answer a question or give service without asking someone else which led to it taking over 1 hour to check in.. We wanted 2 additional rooms and they tried to tell us they only had suites available but come to find out the hotel wasn't even half full, they will screw you over in a heartbeat.. They delivered our bags to the wrong room and took 30mins to fix their mistake. The nightly dinner and show outside is awful for almost $40 a person, the meal doesn't start until 7:30pm and instead of having multiple dancers as shown in the advertisement, there was only one dancer and 2 men playing instruments and the dancer did 3 dances and took 20min breaks between each dance.. The food was very good but did not compensate for the poorly done show.. I will admit the puppet show put on by 2 youths was more entertaining than the big show.. The bathrooms in the rooms are awful, water backs up in the tub, doesn't get hot, and has an odor.. The outdoor fountains were dirty and not working, the property is in ill repair.. The only thing nice I can say is the morning breakfast buffet was very good with lots of options!! I recommend just doing a day trip to Agra and then getting out of there as fast as you can..

Great ambience but poorly managed
Hotel looks great from outside. The management is totally not customer service oriented. We had to change our stay from two nights to one night due to some travel issues. We approached the manager at the desk and his comment was simply n' NO REFUND' . We asked instead they can give us an upgrade our room or use the money for the day art their restaurant, but answer was ' NOI NO and NO'. Totally uncooperative staff.

Impressive at first glance, but very disappointing
After staying at ITC properties throughout India, we had a problem booking a Room at the ITC Mughal due to a local festival. The Wyndham was the next best thing. When you first pull up to the Wyndham it is highly impressive.On our tuktuk ride over to the hotel, the driver warned us that the service was very poor. Sometimes you can't trust the tutktuk drives, but in this instance, he was absolutely correct. When we tried to check in, we gave them our name and they looked at us like we had the wrong place. Finally, I showed them my email confirmation and after 5-10 minutes, they were able to locate our reservation. We booked an upgraded Suite which was very expensive. We had the opportunity to walk through their very beautiful courtyard. When we first walked into our room, it looked very beautiful with the spacious living room & gigantic master bedroom. Everything looked great! Unfortunately looks can be very deceiving. -Powder room had no towels and almost no toilet paper -Bed had one corner that was sunk in -Telephones did not work in the room -We went to front to desk to ask for towels and none arrived (could not call) -Wifi did not work (although they still tried to sell it to us) -Master panel by the bedside did not work (could not open blinds) -No tv remote control (had to get up to change channel) -Front desk service was very disappointing -No hot water At the pricing for this hotel, HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING. I feel like I was robbed.

Great getaway from delhi! The rooms are cozily hidden in blocks that surround a well manicured green park. However some of the hotel grounds are still under construction and you get a feeling that something is out of order. We didn't have enough towels in the room (just two shower towels and one small one - nothing for the feet or the hands/hair), not enough water bottles. Breakfast was sumptuously served as a buffet, but little thins were again missing: coffee was difficult (slow) to get, water impossible. Dinner choices were very tasty but very expensive. However transport outside the hotel gate was easy to find and there is a good choice of restaurants. Overall minor thongs can be improved, and did not spoil the stay!

First look at the property is good but things to follow are appalling. The staff is not courteous no smile on their face while welcoming the guest.The Switches in the room are broken so be careful with the kids.The breakfast that we had in the hotel was not good.Personally would not suggest anyone to stay untill they improve on their service.They really don't know how to manage a good property.

The stay was very comfortable as the deluxe room was well equipped with a seating area; dining table, cupboards, minibar and coffee/tea maker. The breakfast buffet spread is worth a mention as it includes everything from continental to south indian to north indian.........live counters' fresh fruits etc The food items in menu are pricey and the portions are average. But the room service and housekeeping took the cake as it took 40 minutes for our bags to be brought to the room post check in as it was a long weekend and mad rush at the hotel. The room service was extremely slow and best part was the corn on the cobs that we had by the pool side quite generously only to realise that it cost Rs 3500 for 10 of them which was a shocker.The paneer makhanwala was very average and didnt taste great. THe location is great close to other good hotels like Jaypee;; ITC Mughal etc & 2km from the Taj

Our stay was great. Hotel was great. Everything was great except (1) water flow in bath tub was very slow, (2) bottles water costs over Rs 200 when it is available outside for Rs 20. Ten times more is just ripping people, and (3) most of the workers are more interested in tips than providing service.

We stayed here because we were late to book and somehow very few options were left in town. The hotel looks like it passed its prime days. The staff is not super friendly. The room had stay sheets and covers and we asked them to change them.. The restaurant is average. Overall okay stay. Stay at the ITC le the Trident even if you have to pay a little bit extra.
