    Getting Around
A car is essential for getting around the area, as this home is tucked into the mountains for peace and privacy. The roads are paved and well-maintained, but we recommend AWD or 4WD during winter months or inclement weather.

You'll be just minutes from wineries, breweries, hiking trails, and scenic overlooks—most attractions are within a 10–20 minute drive. Ample on-site parking makes coming and going easy.

Looking to explore without driving? Local tour companies offer private wine and brewery transportation—perfect for a girls’ weekend or a romantic outing.

Peak Retreat is located along a scenic mountain road in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The home is fully accessible year-round, though AWD/4WD is strongly recommended during winter weather or inclement conditions.

The spiral staircase leading to the loft is one of the home’s signature architectural features. Because of its design, it may not be ideal for small children or guests with mobility concerns. The loft is open to the main living space and is best suited for guests comfortable with a more open layout.

This home is intentionally designed for peaceful stays, extended weekends, and relaxed mountain getaways. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 p.m. to help preserve the calm atmosphere of the surrounding area.

    Other Things to Note:
    • No pets or smoking permitted
    • Hot tub available year-round

    Wildlife Notice
Peak Retreat is located in a natural mountain setting where wildlife sightings are part of the experience. A local black bear is occasionally seen passing through the area. For everyone’s safety, guests should secure trash and food as instructed during their stay.

    Mountain Living & Pest Control
As with all rural mountain homes, occasional insects may appear despite regular professional pest-control treatments. This is a normal part of mountain living and not a reflection of cleanliness or care.

We’re always happy to help with questions before or during your stay and want every guest to have an exceptional Blue Ridge experience.
