The local climate means that you can play year round, working on your swing even as winter arrives. As Milano Marittima grew in popularity as a vacation resort, the need for a good golf course grew. Visit the golf club that opened in the 1980s in response to this need. An annual calendar of events has expanded its importance and popularity within Italy. Today, it covers about 250 acres (100 hectares) of land on the edges of Cervia’s woodlands. Prepare to drive on the oldest course, which opened in 1986\. It was designed to blend in with the local pinewood landscape and to reflect the peaceful natural setting. Try all nine holes for your first taste of the Adriatic’s challenging courses. Next, head to the water hazard-filled Blue Course. This vast course was designed to resemble the open, exciting courses of the United States. Finally, try out the final nine holes of the Yellow Course, an innovative 21st-century series of greens inspired by the famous links of Scotland. Hone your golfing skills at the other facilities on the site. A driving range is ideal for those wanting to improve their handicap. Work on your accuracy at the putting greens. An on-site shop offers golfing equipment and merchandise for you to pick up as a souvenir from your trip. If you don’t know what to get, ask for advice from the friendly staff. Finish your trip to the club with a meal at the terrace restaurant. Drive to the Adriatic Golf Club Cervia in just over 10 minutes from the Cervia-Milano Marittima train station.
