The home is large and has plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Thank you for leaving some food we didn’t expect that, it was a nice touch. Just a note all the coffee pods that were in the home were the wrong size but we were able to find some that fit in town.Maybe if you put a note in the home exactly what kind it takes it would be easier for the guest. The home was just a 10 minute drive to Adare and a great location for day trips. We enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home.

Loved our stay at Angela’s property in Adare. House is a fantastic size for families or groups of friends. Very comfortable rooms and well stocked kitchen. Eggs, milk, orange juice and bread was a lovely touch from the host. Would definitely recommend to friends !

40th Birthday Trip
We stayed at the Fanningtown House in Adare for 5 nights while visiting the Irish country side. Everything was comfortable for our group of 7. We were able to cook breakfast before we headed out for the day. Our favorite part was ending our evenings in the hearth room with a cozy fire. Would definitely stay here again!

The house is absolutely beautiful and comfortable and is perfectly located to explore all of western Ireland. Plus Angela and John were delightful and helpful hosts. My wife, daughter and I will go back on our next visit to Ireland and highly recommend this house to anyone considering visiting Adare.

Spacious and well-equipped
We were a smaller party than originally planned so we had loads of space. Comfortable beds, decent Wi-Fi and well equipped kitchen that might have needed an additional frypan for the obligatory departure day ‘full Irish’ - we improvised well! Milk butter eggs and tea on arrival was very welcome. Very responsive host to the one question I had while we were there

We enjoyed our stay very much - the house was perfect for the siblings and their spouses and gave us a good location to explore family history from Schull to Costelloe. we might do it again. We did miss having a coffee maker that we were accustomed to using.

Fantastic loacation and accommodation!
Missed out on a few communications that could’ve been a little bit more timely. Welcome breakfast was truly appreciated and awesome as well as unexpected. Great space to spread out and enjoy. Loved the cows out of the upstairs back window!! Piano available for those who would enjoy. Overall great accommodations and location. Would definitely stay again if/when in area!

A Week With The Cousins
We traveled to Adare so my 7ry old twins could meet their eight cousins. Boy did they have a grand time! The property was immaculate and we could not have been happier. It has everything you could ask for all in a convenient location. We were impressed looking at the online pictures but the house is even better in person! If you are looking for a great base for exploring, entertaining or just relaxing this is the place. Thanks Angela you are the best!

More To This Property Than You See!
We spent three nights in this beautiful and charming home. Located in the beautiful countryside of Ireland, we chose this property as a central point for our Ireland day trips to Blarney Castle, Killarney National Park, the Cliffs of Moher, and Kilkenny. This house is PERFECT for large or multi-families, with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and ample dining and lounging space. We enjoyed visiting pubs and restaurants just a 7 minute drive in neighboring Adare. Though, a note to consider - many places are closed Monday and Tuesday evenings. Communication with the host was excellent and we are confident in recommending this home to you, as a part of your Ireland adventure.

Beautiful country manor
We loved staying at this beautiful well-appointed property. It is tastefully done and very accommodating--not to mention the wonderful loaf of home made bread, the milk, butter and eggs in the refrigerator and the the bowl of fresh fruit on the table. The country setting is beautiful and we enjoyed seeing the cows grazing in the nearby pasture.

Family Visit to Ireland
We had the most wonderful stay. The house is gorgeous and spacious. The gardens were lovely and we loved the little bonus “cottage” in the back. The proximity to Adare was fantastic and it was a convenient jumping off point for exploration to Gort, Kinsale etc….The hosts went out of their way to make sure our stay was exceptional. Would recommend whole-heartedly!

Lovely, Well-Appointed Home
Our family group of 7 very much enjoyed our stay in this clean, spacious, accommodating home. We stayed for 5 nights and were so pleased with the large kitchen and living room areas. The backyard patio was a welcome spot for outdoor relaxation or conversation. The adorable garden shed was the perfect place to read a book or plan out the day ahead.The grounds are well manicured with pretty plantings and flower pots. We were unfamiliar with the stove top and oven operations, so written instructions would have been helpful. The washer/dryer are conveniently located, but again, written instructions would have been helpful. The bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of dresser/closet space. The 4 bathrooms were great for the size of our group. The owners were responsive to any of our questions in a very timely manner.All in all, we were well impressed with the home and certainly appreciated the comfort and beauty of the house and grounds.

Wonderful house!
We loved Fanningstown House. The house was spotless, beautiful furniture, very spacious, and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for making breakfast, and some extras which were so thoughtful such as coffee filters, eggs, butter, milk and the best brown bread. The beds were very comfortable, surprised there were no top sheets but I learned that is common in Ireland. The living room had nice soft seating for all six of us. Heat was an extra cost so we just used it for an hour in the morning and evening to take off the chill. Angela was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. The house was about a12 minute drive to downtown Adare where there was a grocery store and pubs for dinner, as well as some nice historic sites to visit. I would definitely stay there again.

VISITING IRELAND
What a fabulouse house and location. Couldn't have been more perfect for our family and our itenerary. Whether it was running up to Dublin for the Nebraska-Northwestern Football game, or doing the Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Moher, Loop Head Light house, and more, Fanningstown House was a perfect spot for us to go and visit these beautiful locations. The home had plenty of room. Plenty of ammenities and facilities for our use. Angela and John were fantastic and gracious hosts.

Amazing stay in the Irish countryside!
We had an absolutely wonderful time here! The house was large (we were 8 - 6 adults and 2 kids - and there was more than enough space for all of us), beautiful, and spotless when we arrived. The owner, Angela, was responsive and helpful when we ran into a (very minor) issue on our first day. The property is beautiful, and the lovely little village of Adare was only a short drive away (5-7mins). We would absolutely come back and stay here again! I'd give it more stars if I could!

We enjoyed our stay, we loved all the room to spread out. Property managers provided some basic food items which was really nice. But the home interior is dated and could use a remodel. The location is great as a base camp to hit everything in southwest Ireland.

Fabulous House
Angela’s home is perfect for a big family or a group of friends. We had plenty of space and privacy. The house was located just a short drive from Adare and about 15mins drive from Limerick city. Angela was very helpful and easy to communicate with.

Angela and John were absolutely amazing! They were easy to talk with and answered all our questions before our stay. When we checked in, the property was even more beautiful than the pictures show. It was so clean and welcoming we couldn't believe it. We rented this property for our family and friends to stay, when we got married in the area and I we plan on renting it again when we come back! Great Place, Great location
Spacious place in an idyllic location near Limerick. The house had more than enough space to house all 7 of us and the amenities from bathrooms, to the kitchen, to the bedrooms were modern enough in terms of comfort while still retaining a rustic charm. Location wise being located right outside of Adare provided easy access to not only locales around Limerick, but also the western and southern side of Ireland as a whole. The landlords were responsive and available but not intrusive. Great welcoming touch of fruit, homemade bread and staples. A perfect place for our family trip to Ireland.

Lovely home in great location
I would highly recommend this home for families or couples who would like a great location with proximity to Adare, Bunratty Castle, Cliffs of Mohrer, Killarney Nat’l Park and Dingle. Also, day trip to Cork or Kinsale very doable. Lots of space to spread out and very nice backyard for kids playing or adults to cookout. Angela and John were so great to work with, addressed all our questions promptly and gifted a lovely food package for us upon our arrival! Will stay again and recommend to our friends who travel and play gold. ( great also to play Ballybunion and Lahinch).

Live Like a Local!
We loved having Fanningstown house as our base for our week in western Ireland. The house was quite roomy for 8 guests, and the kitchen was well equipped and stocked w proper Irish breakfast goodies! Super tidy and comfortable for all! We did day trips to Cashel, Dingle, Cliffs of Moher, Kinsale, Limerick, and the Burren easily. The town of Adare is a 10 min drive and we loved the pubs, cafes, historic sights...the riverwalk loop is especially pretty.

Excellent, very comfortable, well equipped and great location
We stayed for two weeks for a family reunion. Five bedrooms and lots of living areas made for a very comfortable stay. The kitchen was very well equipped with heaps of crockery cutlery glassware and cooking utensils. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. The location is very convenient for touring and sightseeing.

This house is spacious and located only 5 minutes from one of the most charming towns (Adare). It’s also located centrally to be able to explore much of western Ireland. The house was very clean when we arrived and had plenty of room for our group of 10! It has all the amenities you would need to make it feel like home (plenty of towels, coffee maker, washer/dryer, yard, comfortable furniture, etc.). I would definitely recommend this place!

Beautifully appointed home in Adare!
Angela and John provided a very warm welcome with their home in Adare. The house was very clean and decorated in such a way that made us feel at home over Christmas. They stocked the fridge with a few goodies that did not make a trip to the grocery store an urgent matter. The house is in a nice position for getting into Adare. Angela and John were very prompt to reply with any questions. My one complaint would be the heating. We were told where the master switch was to turn the heat on and off, but were given no direction in how to control the amount of heat. Some days we were freezing, other days we were roasting. On our last day, Angela came to the house for a different reason and felt the heat. She then showed how to control the heat at the radiators. When we left we had a large bill for the gas that was used for the heat. I believe this bill would have been substantially lower had we been given a full explanation on how to use the heat at check-in. Overall, we had a great stay in Adare, and the house was very charming.

Megan Unfortunately there must have been a misunderstanding, on your part re-heating (which is oil not gas) at check in ,when the operating instructions were demonstrated on two occassions by John. Notably the weather was very mild ,and you availed of the option of the two open fires on the property, which could explain the intensity of the heat you experienced. It is regrettable, that you did not seize the opportunity to highlight the heat/ freezing conditions on the other times, you spoke with us during your stay, we would happily have rectified it. Regards the billing issue which amounted to €80 after a 10% discount, it must be remembered that heat usage is at the guests discretion. We will endeavour to prioritise and simplify the instructions for future guests . Regards Angela

Great place to stay!
I, along with four other family members, stayed in Fanningstown House for a little over a week at the end of November. The location is amazing, and as we rented a car it was easy to make day trips all over the country. Fanningstown House was an amazing place to stay. As soon as we arrived in Adare I was able to call Angela, who immediately met us at the house and gave us a wonderful tour. Some food was already in the fridge and pantry, which was a beautiful thing to jet-lagged Americans too tired to immediately think about grocery shopping. The house is a great size, with lots of room for everyone. We had a great time sitting by the fireplace most nights, and it was always a wonderful place to come home to. The WiFi worked very well, especially downstairs. Having laundry was a huge plus; the dryer took longer than we’re used to, but Angela had walked us through that so we planned ahead and it wasn’t an issue. Other than the first few days we found we only needed the heat turned on for a few hours in the morning and evening, but not during the day when we were out and about, or when we were sleeping. The house does a great job holding the heat, but be aware that it is by meter, and that can add up. We really appreciated all of the information provided by Angela; there are folders in the living room and laundry room full of information about pertinent household details (e.g. which bins are for what), as well as good places to eat/emergency numbers/other information tourists would be glad to have. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, and all five of us agreed we would definitely stay at Fanningstown House again!

Having read previous reviews we had high expectations and we were certainly not disappointed. Angela and John are warm and friendly hosts without being intrusive whatsoever. The property is immaculate. They go the extra mile to ensure your stay is a comfortable one. Beautifully furnished for a holiday rental and the most well equipped we have come across. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to explore this beautiful part of Irleland.

A Lovely warm and inviting Home
We were a woman's family reunion coming from the States. Fanningstown House was beyond our expectations. Angela was there to greet us and was available to answer any questions we had. Very clean and comfortable - we had a fire most nights. The spacious kitchen and dining table was great for our group. If ever back in Adare would love to stay again. Perfect setting. Amazing Country House
We loved our stay at this beautiful home! We arrived to find our lovely, friendly hostess Angela there to greet us. She was generous and kind enough to have delicious sandwich makings ready for us after our long ride from Galway. This home is so spacious and comfortable. The online pictures do not truly convey how stunning this house actual is. Angela was also thoughtful enough to drop off more firewood during our stay. If you are traveling as a large group in the charming village of Adare, then do yourself a favor and rent this house. The price was extremely reasonable and we could not believe our good fortune to be staying in this beautifully decorated house. Oh and we had delightful visitors for breakfast one morning. We woke up to find the cows from the bordering pasture grazing outside our windows. This just made our stay even better. We had a fire in the fireplace two nights and it was simply delightful. Coffee in the sunroom every morning was a joy - so relaxing! The one minor issue we had was that we ran out of paper towels and came close to running out of toilet tissue. I am sure this was simply an oversight. We cleaned up the best we could without the paper towels. We would rent this home again in a heartbeat and hope we can do again with family and friends in the future. We were actually sad to leave this cozy spot and move on to Dublin. We definitely missed this house when we were sharing a hotel room with our son! Renting this home is a superior alternative to any hotel!

A great location for exploring southwest Ireland. Aran islands, Cliffs of Moher, Dingle and Cork county all easy day trips. Great house for a large group. Perfect for a group of six
The Fanningstown House was absolutely lovely and perfect for our 4 adults and 2 toddlers. Angela’s husband met us at the home, gave us a quick tour and let us be. Angela stocked us up with goodies so we could start our vacation without an immediate run to the grocery store. There was a teeny tiny hiccup; we were not aware we needed to pay for heat. It was not on the VRBO site nor any other correspondence. However, it wasn’t much, 50 euros for our five nights, it just caught us by surprise. The bedrooms are large, kitchen is nice with the huge table and plenty of space so we were not right on top of each other. The kids loved loved loved seeing the cows on the grounds. Thank you so much, we had a great stay.

We just returned from a magical Easter stay in your beautiful home. We cannot thank you enough. Your home is warm, immaculately clean and comfortable. Your kindness of the beautiful fresh flowers and a huge Cadbury chocolate Easter egg were very much appreciated. The house location is perfect for touring Ireland’s southern counties. Angela was the utmost professional host. She was very kind and eager to please. My family and I cannot thank her enough. We look forward to returning next Easter.

Home Away From Home
A perfect place for our group of 8 (4 kids and 4 adults). The house was spacious and spotless. The bedrooms and common rooms were all well appointed and allowed for everyone to gather together and yet have their own space. I am very picky about beds and the mattresses were very comfortable (which can make or break a stay sometimes)!! Lots of bathrooms with plenty of towels - 1 bathroom had a gorgeous tub. The kitchen also had everything we needed to cook. One of the reasons we choose this house was the huge kitchen table which would accommodate everyone to have meals together. Host even started us out with some basic groceries which was perfect since we arrived with hungry kids!! Outside was also beautiful and the kids loved seeing the cows pass by one of the days. After staying here we moved on to Dublin to a very nice hotel and yet all the kids could talk about was wanting to return to this house! It was a hit with everyone and the highlight of our stay. We also enjoyed this house because of its location. It was a great homebase for a day trip to Galway (north) and Cork (south). They also had a washer and dryer - and this is probably my only complaint and I'll attribute it to being American and expecting everything to occur quickly. While it was wonderful to even have the W/D - they took FOREVER. However they were nice new machines, just not what we were use to with kids. Overall I would absolutely recommend this house. The hosts were very accommodating and kind before, during, and after the rental. The area is quite and relaxing and a beautiful gem of Ireland.

Our family traveled from the USA to Adare for Christmas, arriving on Christmas Eve to be greeted by Angela and John who welcomed us into their lovely home in the country. The house is beautiful and has all of the amenities advertised. We spent a lot of time around the fireplace enjoying the endless supply of wood and coal. There are plenty of activities to engage in and sights to see within an hours drive. Adare village is wonderful and is a perfect central location for vacationers, and this house has all you need. Thank you Angela for your great hospitality and for making our arrival on Christmas Eve as easy as it could possibly be.

Great house, great location, great host
Center to everything on the south, south west and some of the south east. We did plenty of day trips so we ate breakfast at the house and slept, but that is what we wanted. Adare and Limirick have great eateries. The house was well equipped, clean and comfortable. 5 adults had a great time in this lovely part of Ireland.

Absolutely Perfect!
Everything is wonderful, it´s clean, the kitchen is brilliant with everything you need to cook and drink. In the morning you can watch the cows on the grass, it´s quiet with a lot of space around. We´ve been 9 adults and enjoyed every single second. Thank you Angela
