Abertamy is ideal for winter and summer vacation. There are several ski areas nearby - Plešivec (Plessberg), Boží Dar (God's Gift), Klínovec (Keilberg), Oberwiesenthal, Pernink and others. Some ski areas offer children's ski school, children's ski lifts and "magic carpets". In the village of Abertamy you are right near the cross-country ski run "Skimagistrale Erzgebirge". Summer is fantastic for hiking and cycling, there are hundreds of forest trails and quiet village streets, and of course wherever there are cross-country trails in winter, you can cycle from spring to late autumn. My favorite season for cycling and hiking is August to October, the air smells of "Indian Summer", blueberries are everywhere and if you take a paper bag with you you can collect mushrooms and then prepare something good in our kitchen. Collecting mushrooms is a must in the Czech Republic :-) The house can accommodate 1-10 people in 4 bedrooms with a total of 10 beds with new high quality mattresses and damask bed linen. I can prepare a baby bed with blanket, pillow and bed linen for you - all in white cotton. In our house there are two toilets and two bathrooms with a shower. The new towels and bath towels made of thick white cotton will be there for you. We have a well-functioning, ecological and quiet heating - thermal pump and a fireplace. A large wooden basket is prepared for the guests next to the fireplace. Two cars can park right by our house and there are also parking spaces on the street. If there is too much snow in the streets in winter, park in the central, well-lit parking lot in the middle of the city. The house has a pretty garden with garden furniture and a grill and sandpit. The playground is 50 meters from our house. In 2018 and 2019 we completely renovated our house, it is new and modern. The house is very bright and offers a breathtaking view over Plessberg. With us you will find peace and will relax perfectly. You will feel good with us and you can contact me at any time. And I'll bake a good cake for you as a greeting. The range of sporting and cultural activities is really inexhaustible - skiing, cross-country skiing, snow kite, snow tubing, in summer then cycling, hiking, climbing on the rocks. You can take the historic train in Oberwiesenthal or visit the many lookout towers in the Ore Mountains. The golf courses in the area of Karlovy Vary can be reached in max. 30 minutes. I recommend visiting Karlovy Vary (20 minutes away), Františkovy Lázně, Marienbad, and the historic towns of Loket and Becov. The charming small town of Horní Blatná (Platten) is only a few kilometers away. My favorite restaurant, Faustuv Dvur, is located in Horni Blatna. In Jáchymov there is a small and pleasant water park Agricola. I also recommend the restaurant and butcher shop in Abertamy, where you can have fresh, good and very cheap lunch - the beef and lamb comes from the local farm, as well as the milk and other products. If you order the food to take away, you hardly need to cook. Allerdings liegt das vierte Zimmer im Dachspitz ohne Türe, was für unseren einwöchigen Ferienaufenthalt unproblematisch war. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war sehr angenehm und freundlich. Unsere Anfragen wurden schnell und ausführlich (auf deutsch) beantwortet. Das Gebiet ist allerdings stark auf den Wintersport ausgerichtet, wobei es genügend Angebote für Wandern- und Fahrradtouren gibt.
