What’s lovely hotel, perfect for a romantic night away! Polite staff and beautiful hotel

Amazing experience. Fabulous setting and just a 10 minute walk into Son village. Spa has everything you need. Suggest booking a suite with balcony. Outdoor Sauna by the Fjord is terrific for the daily Sauna ritual which lasts about 45 mins. Son village is also not to be missed.

This is a very charming hotel in a small sleepy village. Its a bit of a distance from everything, but a great location by the sea. The staff really tried hard to make yourself comfortable, and the hotel has a great atmosphere. Attentive staff who really wants you to enjoy yourself. We were fortunate enough that one of our rooms where number 36, which had a small but charming balcony very close to the sea, where we enjoyed the sunset every night. Located very close to the Oslo Ford this charming hotel has an Art Deco vibe, the dining hall as an opulent decor and while I only stayed for breakfast, what I ate was excellent. At first I thought the lift looked old and I had an initial distrust of its abilities, but that was before I realised I was staying in a themed hotel and while lifts probably weren’t around in the 1940’s (perhaps they were?) it fitted in with the general vibe perfectly. The breakfast was excellent, one of the best i’ve had! Room was very nice and clean too.

The place was perfectly positioned by the open waters, the room was private with outside sitting area, so close to nature, very calming. Every morning a good choice of hot and cold meals, also had dinner with them twice which was great. Access to coffee machine theought the day in the main restaurant. A really nice hotel. Restaurant and breakfast are in two separate buildings. The room was clean but a bit on the small side. The car park is a short walk from reception with plenty of room. I enjoyed my stay and would visit again.

We had an amazing family trip to Tonsberg and stayed at Thon. The hotel has the perfect waterfront location, staff members were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was awesome. The location is the best you can ask for in Tonsberg. Daily room cleaning, very good experience and we're definitely coming back.

Wasnt expecting much when I arrived and 2 extra floors were being built but I was wrong. The room was very clean, spotless in fact. They pack alot into a small space, kitchen, shower and toilet, bed space all in one small room. Free parking. Impressed

Hotel room was clean plenty of room and well equipped.Checking in on the day was very easy.Staff were very friendly and helpful.Being English having some milk in the room would be a nice touch.

The apartment was an ideal place for acheap stay. It had a god bathroom, kitchen area and lounge. The bedroom was fairly small but the beds were very comfortable. There was a large room upstairs where others could sleep but the stairs were more ladder like. It was clean enough and had all you might need. We would certainly stay there again. The area around had other chalet type apartments and was very quiet.
