"The hotel is nice but for a hilton could be better. We stayed here at the start and end of our holiday . It was a nice place to start but on our return we had a very smelly room which stank of stale smoke even though it was a non smoking room. We asked it to be fixed which it was not. The reception stuff were not as friendly compared to staff at other hotels in sri lanka and generally sri lankan people."

Their housekeeping standards cannot match those of their properties in Hong Kong or mainland China. The Chinese restaurant Shang Gong is one of the best in the country, and its staff is very attentive and courteous. "

"Firstly the staff was fantastic, helpful friendly and polite. Food was exceptional both for breakfast, evening meal and afternoon tea. Watch the curries they are proper spicy compared to England. Roof top pool and bar great at sunset. Several different restaurants and all very good quality. The rooms are fantastic spacious and comfortable. They have thought of everything. If you are in Colombo it is worth a stay."
