We stayed in the ocean view room in the Diamond ring- somewhat outdated wing but the ocean view made up for it. The balcony seemed a little sketch at first but seemed to be durable enough while we were there, lol. Restaurant was nice, cool Banyan tree right down in the middle of the hotel property. "The good: Friendly staff, clean facilities, nice decor, walkable neighborhood, conveniently right by a bus/shuttle stop. The bad: Some elevator design quirks; more sound penetration from the adjoining room and cooling fans atop the building next door than one might otherwise prefer; and the laundry change machine was empty forcing one either to go in search of quarters or to go buy detergent elsewhere. Overall, though, a good value for the price. "

"It is a good hotel, l good stuff with a good view and pool. The only thing it doesn't have a beach area around. You have to walk for a while to reach the beach area."

"The hotel was very clean and the staff members were friendly and responsive, especially the front desk and the bell desk. Our needs were always met and we enjoyed our stay. The Halepuna is directly across the street from it's sister hotel, the iconic and super-glam Halekulani, which elevates the area. Keep in mind though that the Halepuna is smaller, is not an oceanfront hotel, and has minimal ocean views. Wouldn't recommend it to first time tourists for this reason, but for other travelers it...

"Staff exhibited quality customer service with a true aloha spirit. The area was within walking distance to all the shops, beach, restaurants, and market place. The onsite restaurant was mediocre at best and a small pool was attached to the restaurant. "

Didnt like the lack of food options, the parking fee on top of the resort fee, or the fact that there were way to many reserved only pool chairs and not enough regular ones for everyone that made it feel like you HAD to pay to have a spot at the pool"
