"Mist in the Gums is the most peaceful place and quite beautiful. Carol is an excellent host and very friendly. The cabin was so clean and had everything you would need. I would thoroughly recommend Mist in the Gums to anyone. please keep in mind it is quite a way from Lake Macquarie."

"Quaint and cute guesthouse with amazing scenery and history. Rooms were decorated beautifully in theme with the historic background but with some nice modern twists. Although we only stayed for one night they were so helpful and had every resource we needed, we didn’t get to eat at the lovely cafe on premises but were provided with a delicious continental breakfast. Can’t wait to come back with more time to take in and explore all there was to see."

"Wow wow wow what a fantastic spot. My room was perfect.... the bed was so comfy with high quality bedding better than any I’ve ever had in any hotel the little cottage was amazing instantly felt like a home away from home. The breakfast was left in the little kitchenette to enjoy at your leisure with delicious eggs and fresh bread. I’d highly recommend this little place and hope to be back very soon. Everything was so wonderful. "
