"The room was very clean and the grounds were stunning. The old colonial style in the bar and restaurant with all of the history attached to it are characterful. The staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms are a little tired in places but that does not detract from the ambiance. "

"The property is well maintained, comfortable and clean. The rooms are serviced daily and the host is quick to respond to any of your needs. There is no swimming pool or outdoor space on the property, however the location is within close proximity to hiking, cycling trails and an abundance of activities. +/-2km easy walk to the clarens waterfall.The main town square is within walking distance. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will be back."

"We had a great stay at Moorcroft for two nights. Couple of tips: 1) Exit at Howick off N3 as the roads are paved, 2) Bring rain gear as it rained quite a bit when we were there, 3) Aim to arrive before sunset as it gets quite dark on the roads, 4) The kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m. and there aren’t too many options nearby. "Esme, Andrew & Conny’s hospitality was amazing! We stayed for 5 nights in 2 different rooms, the standard room then the Luxury cave suite (both were great but the cave suite is out of this world! Jason, the chef is so passionate about food & that really comes through in the meals, the food here is truly lovely.
