Very clean & comfortable inn accommodation

The warm welcome and friendly atmosphere made us feel relaxed from the start. The food was perfect. We would recommend this very nice guest house.

Fabulous location and a really comfortable, clean and luxurious B&B. Our first floor suite was stunning - spacious yet cosy with lovely views. Lots of homey touches and attention to detail. Lovely breakfast, friendly owners - everything was spot on. We live fairly close by, but two nights at the Old Dairy really felt like a proper holiday.

Caro the host was lovely and friendly and very hospitable. The old Manor House is beautiful set in rolling countryside. The bedroom was large, beds were comfortable and good shower. Caro provides an excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Would defo visit again. The Globe Inn nearby does good food and the staff and locals were good fun.

Graham and Annie (our hosts) were able to offer us any check time after 09.00. We actually arrived about 16.00 to be checked in immediately and shown to our room. The first night was a bit of a problem as the room overlooked the main road with a farm entrance across the road. The building is very old with thick stone walls and we needed the window open which was noisy with traffic throughout the night. Lots of easy parking, set beside the river. Very quiet, great food - wonderfully crispy chips - fantastic choice of malt whiskeys. A lovely hotel with friendly staff. Certainly stay there again.

Beautiful house set in the stunning Exmoor National park is worth the 5 stars alone. However , it is the attentiveness of the owners and attention to detail that really makes Edgcott House very, very special. Decent accommodation in a beautiful village on Exmoor. The bed was comfortable and the full English breakfast very good as well. I had no problem parking just outside on the street. I liked the feeling of staying in a family-run hotel and they were all friendly and helpful. Would return!

If I can suggest to ignore any other negative comments / review regarding this property. Upon booking my stay, reading the other reviews I was alittle aprehensive. I should not have been. Great car park on the side of the property, which was free. Lovely bar and restaurant and I received a very friendly welcome in. Even some of the locals in the bar gave me a friendly smile and nod. This was just a stop over as we travelled to Devon but it was a lovely area and one we will consider again if we need to stop off. Chris and Sue were both very friendly, especially as we had to check in late. Breakfast is incredible! They were also incredibly accommodating for our little boy.

Fantastic overnight stay. Made to feel very welcome upon arrival by the owner who then took us to a great vantage point to take in the stunning views whilst giving us a brief bit of background history surrounding the building. We took our dog who was welcomed greatly. The staff on site were pleasant and polite and on hand to assist with anything we needed. Breakfast was great. Can't wait to return later on in the year.

Clean room and friendly staff . Lovely stay

This is a hotel that we have stayed at during different times of the year. This weekend was very cold but it was lovely and warm in the room.The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The evening meal in the restaurant was outstanding with service to match. Breakfast was equally excellent.
