The hotel is excellent. It's located between the train station and road where many buses stop, and much of the city of Toulon is walkable from here. My main caveat was about the WiFi. It's fast but restricted in some very specific ways, and a little unreliable in poor weather too. For most people this'll be fine, it's good enough to mitigate the dent in your roaming data. The biggest problem was that I had a spectacular wipeout in the bathroom. It was partially my fault as I didn't use the towel bath mat, but the floor was extremely slippery as there was no separation between shower and the rest of the bathroom floor (no barrier to the water). I advised the hotel that they should coat the floor with some slip-resistance coating. When the WiFi didn't work the second day, the front desk gave me another network which worked."
