“Bad Experiance”

If you want to party with the kids, this is the place. Otherwise was an old run down dirty hotel with no service to speak of. Has 4 stars over the door from when I am sure was a nice place.

“Excellent location”

This hotel was in an excellent location in the old town with plenty of restaurants and bars close by. It is a short walk (10 mins from the main train station which has regular trains from the airport. No need to take a taxi. The hotel was very clean but the armchairs in the room were very worn, Having said that the room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel and breakfast was lovely.

“Additional "Deposit" was a surprise”

I was aware of the necessity to pay the local taxes, as detailed on my Expedia booking. However, having paid the full cost of the hotel room at the time of making the booking, I was more than a little surprised at check-in to be charged an additional 'deposit' for the room. I still don't know what this money was for. It wasn't returned on check-out as I have experienced at other hotels. And at over 33% of the original "total" cost, when added to what I paid at booking, it made the cost of the room very far from value for money. A shame, as the hotel was otherwise very pleasant.

“If going back to Zurich I would stay here again”

Excellent location, very modern and cozy rooms at the same time. The girls in the front desk multi-lingual, very nice and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. The location was just perfect, in the old area of the town, several sturbucks around the corner, wonderful restaurants all around and nice shopping.

“Great location”

European style hotel with a killer locatiion for shopping and restaurants. Check in and check out process is a bit slow, but the facility itself is fantastic.

“decent hotel in heart of historic old zurich downtown”

hotel is in downtown zurich, lots of shops and restaurants to walk to, rail station is right nearby. hotel is clean and comfortable, fairly modern. not a big hotel by any means. i enjoyed my stay and got a pretty good rate. wifi is available but not included in the price, which was disappointing, why do hotels do that? the marginal cost to a hotel to let someone use wifi is pennies. the included breakfast was superb, great fruits, breads, cheeses, juices, coffee are all high quality. i was please with the location and the comfort of the stay, i do recommend.

“Good location in old town but poor quality hotel”

Have stayed before at this hotel. Good location 10 minutes walk from main railway station in old town. many bars, shops and restaurants near by. Hotel is more 2 to 3 star than the advertised 4 star. Rooms are tired and a bit worn but clean. Main complaint is the noise from the pedestrian areas below. It is necessary to get a room high up and preferably at the side of the hotel - otherwise sleep will be difficult until 2am! I am sure there are better places nearby for the same price - and I will be trying one the next time I have to visit.

Area recommendations

The old town and surrounding areas are nice + also down towards the lake is very pleasant.

“Perfect location for downtown Zurich and not too expensive”

Located very conveniently in the tourist district of Zurich. 7 mins walk from the Central station and very near the main shopping area. At the door step of all the nice eating out places. Hotel service and cleanliness is great. Stayed on the 2nd floor which includes complementary Wi-FI and breakfast in the price. Breakfast is cold buffet, cereal and bakery stuff. Surprisingly it was not as noisy as other have indicated. Must have been because it was early October when season is tailing off. My room was also in the center which kept things quite. I would use this hotel again when I'm next in Zurich.
