Cute little B&B located just a few mins from the train station and about 15 min walk into the city centre. The room we were in was at the very top. Note, lots of stairs and to get to room 12 is a small awkward staircase but all good for us. Room was simple, though lacking headroom in places, had everything needed including AC, washer, sink, cooktop and fridge. Would stay again!

I would recommend this guest house as it’s close to the city centre in walking distance of all the museums and historic sites excellent parking on site.

The Apple House was quiet, clean and an easy walk from the centre of York. Breakfast was amazing and both the bed and the room extremely comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is also very child friendly.

Friendly staff easy to find and good parking. Thank you for a great break, easy to walk into town so didn't need to take car out at all. Rooms facing front and road can hear traffic overnight especially if window slightly open.

Lovely loft room with a small kitchen area with a washing machine, sink, microwave, two ring hob and a kettle. Tea, coffee, latte, hot chocolate, milk, sugar, bottled water, small pack of biscuits and a bar of chocolate all provided and restocked when used. Danielle was very friendly and accommodating. Superb breakfast upon request which was well worth the charge of £10 and included cereals, fruit, yoghurts and juices etc. large car park to the rear of property which was only 10 minutes walk to the town centre. Would definitely recommend.

Tarquin and Danielle are excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome. Clean and comfortable room. Big Apple cooked breakfast was delicious and lots of fresh fruit, cereals and yoghurt on offer. Great to be able to leave the car in the car park both as we arrived and after we checked out, the city centre is only a 15 min walk away. A home from home.

Christmas Markets
Nice play to stay convenient for Central York (15mis walk). The owners are very friendly and ensure your stay will be a good one. Breakfast was excellent with both continental and Full English available. Good parking at the rear and the owners let you park there on checkout day as well. Overall a great stay.

Great stay
Great stay. Good location about 20 minute walk to the centre. Hotel quiet and friendly owners. Car park very handy. Close to train station so a visit to the railway museum was a must. Walk on the walls and accessible to all to see in York especially the views of the river as you walk next to or over it. A good stay and would consider staying here again if we ever visit York in the future.

Highly recommended this property, the owners where great and the location was spot on, only a short walk into the centre of York. Large free car park and great facilities, tea and coffee in the room and even bottled water, biscuits and yorkie bar. Will definitely return to this property again.

Absolutely fabulous! Daniele is an excellent host! Very friendly and helpful. She paid attention to the little details (where I liked to sit at breakfast) and to the important ones (my breakfast was not only really good, it was also gluten free!). The room, we were in Fuji, was bright and airy. It was at the back of the house, over looking the car park. It was comfortable and very clean. We had a double bed with duvet, there was a wardrobe and a set of drawers, a kettle well stocked with tea/coffee/hot chocolate and snacks. The bathroom was not amazing, but it was spotless with little shampoo and shower gel bottles provided (and replaced during our stay!). The Apple House is 5 minutes walk to Michaelgate and about 15 minutes walk to the Shambles/Minster area. There are quite a few restaurants around, although we always ended up at the pub around the corner! The Apple House is a lovely B&B, we were treated like special guests, and really enjoyed our time in York. I highly recommend this place, and hope to be back soon, with friends!

The Apple House is very nice only a short walk to many areas of interest. The offer a hot breakfast, either traditional English or vegetarian. Their breakfast bar included with the breakfast is amazing. Parking is included and because our room was not setup for laundry, the proprietors handled our laundry for us. It is a 10 minute level walk to the York Train Station. Excellent choice for visiting York, UK.

Brilliant stay
The owners and staff were lovely, the room and en-suite clean and tidy the bed was very comfortable. They gave you water bottles and biscuits and chocolate bar which they replenished daily. Enjoyed our stay enormously would definitely stay here again and would recommend.

Room was small for two people. Bathroom was very cramped. Would help if it was a shower cubical only.

Thanks David for your review, You booked a small en-suite double room rather than a normal one with a bigger bathroom. The bath tub takes some space in the bathroom.
