I had a wonderful stay at Alaska Resort Tsaghkazdor. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for family rest.

Alaska Resort offers comfortable and beautiful accommodations. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Also there is a restaurant where dishes very delicious. A great choice for a relaxing vacation!

After we booked and paid for our rooms on Expedia the hotel didn’t seem to notice. They sold our rooms to someone else and had no place for us upon our arrival. They handed us a cash refund and told us to find somewhere else. It was nearly midnight.

This is a very unfair review. Not only because it is unreasonable and there is no appreciation of handling a situation in favor of the guests, but also because of the hidden lies embedded within the review.
Here are the details:
The 2 guests booked 2 rooms, that fit 2 people each (one room per person). The guest made a last-minute reservation at 8:54 PM and with no communication or confirmation; they showed up the same day one about an hour later.
If you were so worried about it being "nearly midnight" it would have been more reasonable to check if the reception is still working.
Unfortunately, we had a system glitch that didn't update the room availability in Expedia, so the rooms shouldn't have been available. We have apologized, explained the situation, and offered a free upgrade to a 3 person room instead of a 2 person room, and a refund for the other room.
The 3 person room was the only room we had available at that time. Other options were offered to the guests to work out the issue, that were also rejected.
While we haven't received a wire transfer from Expedia by that time, we took ownership of the issue and paid the full cash refund to guests out of pocket. Not to mention, we still have to pay commission from the booking that we didn't get.
The statement "nearly midnight" is awfully misleading, because we gave them the cashback at around 10:25, shortly after they arrived at the hotel.
Your statement "They sold our rooms to someone else" is also invalid. (refer to the timeframes of booking and arrival.)
Obviously the guest didn't appreciate our effort to resolve the issue...
