There was a warm welcome, but that's where it ended. The water was tepid at best both in the evening and in the morning. I and two other guests came down for the breakfast that we were promised and the place was shut up and dark. Not a soul to be found. The other guests and I managed to find some cereal and milk to which we helped ourselves. The manager caught up with me later on and apologised profusely but that did not help. These are the reasons I checked out three days early.
The staff could not have been friendlier. Even the locals liked to chat. The room was well presented and clean. The bed wasn’t too bad we could have done with a couple more pillows but that was our fault for not asking for more. The continental breakfast was adequate. The restaurant was closed for our first night. but had a good meal there the second night generous portions and very tasty
It’s a nice quiet village pub with good access to all local routs around the area
I would go back when in the area again
The room is pleasant and clean and good value for the price, the restaurant was closed and only toast was available for breakfast so can’t comment on the food. Staff were welcoming and nice, a good value bed and breakfast.
Great night stay very friendly and lovely food , i will return

A good location near the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Attrocious rain prevented the chef getting to work, so the owner kindly let us know in advance to make other dinner arrangements. Oil heater was on in our room. Cooked breakfast wasnt possible due to flooding and chef couldnt get to work. Continental breakfast was good.
