Beautiful, and as lovely as the reviews that led us to stopover in this gorgeous place on our way to the Cornish coast. Beautifully appointed room, amazing hospitality and friendliness and we only wished we had had more time to enjoy. Breakfast was also so lovely and we could want for nothing more on our first ever English B&B stay. Thank you Liongate House.

Exceptional B and B
This was an absolute delight. Exceptional in everything from the hosts, room, bathroom, selections of teas, extras. There was nothing at all missing. Lovely temperature. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Plenty of room. Free soft drinks from the fridge downstairs. Breakfast was excellent with homemade jams, fresh strawberries, raspberries organic yoghurt. Selection menus for cooked breakfast, fresh juices and plenty of tea and coffee all served in a lovely room. Can’t rate this place highly enough. Will definitely go again if in the area.

Very comfortable room, lovely breakfast.
The Liongate is a small well appointed B&B which is very comfortable, and provides an excellent breakfast. The room was large, the bed was comfortable and I have no complaints at all. I would happily stay here again.

Everything about our stay here was delightful. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly, the room and amenities were of the highest standard, with a lovely wet room en-suite, use of a guest fridge, large well proportioned room and walk in wardrobe. There was a choice of local eateries, we used the Ilchester Arms which was less than 5 minutes walk away. Breakfast was superb, with plenty of choice. You won’t leave hungry. Highly recommended in every way.

Liz and Graham are wonderful hosts and run a small & very well maintained property. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable and well kept. Liongate House is centrally located in the charming village and car parking is available on site. The breakfast was absolutely first class and the hosts genuinely want to please. We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay and would have no hesitation in staying there again when in the area.

We enjoyed our short stay! Will come again.
Our stay was lovely. The hosts accommodated our later arrival and still greeted us with a friendly welcome and showed us our room and the amenities for our comfort. The beds were comfortable and the room had everything we needed.

The bedroom & shower room were modern and to a high standard, the breakfast was excellent and the hosts were welcoming and friendly. It is also well located for dinner options.

Perfect place to stay
We stayed here for two nights as part of a longer trip. The room was perfect and had all the facilities you could need. Breakfast was top quality and our hosts were more than helpful and friendly. Tea and cake on arrival in the garden was just what we needed and so peaceful. Highly recommended as a place to stay and base for exploring.

Marathon weekend away
I was here to run the marathon. The hosts were very welcoming and the room was spotless and had all the amenities and more besides. The choice for breakfast was fantastic. I had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this as a place to stay

An exceptional place to stay at and worth traveling to even if your activities are not in the immediate area. The homemade chocolate brownies were out of this world and as were the other homemade bread, jams and marmalade. Would definitely visit again if there's any availability.

We stayed in the family room, and the accommodation was perfect, with a room for our son, and a super-king bed in the main bedroom, a family bathroom and all fully contained so he couldn't escape! The beds were comfy, the showers powerful, and the breakfast set us up for the day so we didn't need lunch. Excellent hosts too so would definitely recommend. We hope to return soon.

One of the best B&Bs We've Stopped In
Liongate House is lovely - from the great family room (actually two bedrooms with a bathroom and mini-hall) to the fantastic breakfast. Practically, there is good off-road parking a few meters from the from property; we were in an upstairs room (but I believe there is also a disabled room). Our room was excellent - comfortable bed and quality towels and the home-made brownie was a great welcome. Breakfast was simply fantastic with home made jams and bread, fresh fruit and a full-cooked English. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful - they made our stay very welcoming. Will definitely be back - we loved it. Thank you.
